Ripabottoni is a small town in Molise and I hate very good GENUINE HAM, BREAD, SALADS in typical Restourants.
We have a house not far from this lovely little town so go there often to get groceries etc Bagnoli del Trigno is set in the most beautiful undiscovered region of Molise Italy the whole area is so green and lush rivers forests hills with little villages perched on top and the stunning Majella national park it's like driving into Tibet this place is the Emerald of Italy .
Antico borgo at Bojano for dinner A great pizzeria in San massimo for dinner Visiting surrounding area - also went to Cassino & Montecassino from here Lucito lovely little Molise village to visit on route back to Abruzzo
Termoli is the ferry port for crossing to the Tremiti Islands. It has an attractive small old town which is where we stayed. Otherwise the town has not a great deal to commend it and has not made the effort to welcome international or, at least, English-speaking visitors. The town guide is in Italian (sure, Google Translate helps) and there is no Tourist Information Office that we could find. The railway station lacks platform elevators and gives no indication where the bus station is located, in fact quite a distance away. As the bus station network is the only practical way to see the interior of Molise, this information gap is unhelpful. The bus station likewise gives no indication of where the railway station is to be found. Perhaps the two organisations could start talking to each other!
Campobasso is a beautiful and safe city. Beautiful to walk through and shop. There are very nice restaurants that are nestled in and around the cobble stone streets where the locals dine. Just ask and you will be very satisfied with the friendliness and charm of this characteristic city. There are many local bars to enjoy an aperitivo and assaggi of the Molise region. It is also just as great to sit and people watch.
beautiful tiny town of 30 thousand people.. I also visted the other Molise region where I was born.
Most of Bagnoli has remained much the same as when I first visited in 1969 with my parents to their early home and place of birth. Aside from doing a minor facelift (restoration) to the exterior of most of the buildings, with some newer that have been built, this small hamlet is basically unchanged. Not to say that the interiors of most of these homes have remained unchanged, the upgrades that have been done would rival or exceed what is found in most newer homes. A tribute to the ingenuity of the grand and great grand children in maintaining a family legacy in this town. To truly appreciate what has been dubbed the "Pearl of Molise" one must arrive to this quaint retreat in the mountains just prior to the town fair in August. Within a matter of days the town turns into a small Mardi Gras with individuals attending from all over Italy and other parts of the world. There is a parade that provides a fairly accurate representation of the style, garment and dress of centuries past. The fair goers are treated to delicacies that are unique to this town, from a form of soup made with pasta and wine to a style of fried bread (both are a favorite of mine) to pastries that provides a kalidascope of flavours to your palate. The fair culminates with a phenomenal fireworks display. I will admit that it would appear that I'm biased, but I assure you that the town and surrounding areas will offer you a very good insight of why Bagnoli del Trigno is called the "Pearl of Molise".
Isernia is a nice little town in Molise that seems to be a real jewel in an already nice Regione. The historic centre comprises of many backstreets and alleyways and is wonderful to just walk around in. The centre also boasts a number of good quality, friendly restaurants, cafes and bars.
It was perfect, excellent location for the beach and we hired a car .. the road network is good to explore Molise and it is easy to get around the local area as well as taking the autostrada to Pescara, 1 hour Gargano 1hour or if you wished across country to Campobasso 1 hour or even Pompai 3 hours for the more resilient traveller.

My studio room was very clean and warm. The entire building and grounds are excellent. The facility is about one mile outside the village of Frosolone. Marianna, the property's owner, was very attentive to her customers' needs and is very helpful with regard to any inquiry. When I return to Frosolone, I will be staying again at Casale della Valle!!Quiet and friendly place for a relaxing sojourn in the mountains of Molise

It is a beautiful old-world grand home, with much still in original state so very interesting. Very comfortable room and bathroom, warm. The owner/host is very hospitable and shared her stories, and showed us the house, which we enjoyed greatly. She also arranged a meeting with a local WW2 museum curator for us - which we would not have known about and were very grateful for. Molise province has much beauty.

The location is great, but you need a car. The house itself has a great atmosphere, nestled between olive trees, fields and gardens. Nearby local town has decent shops and you can walk there in few minutes. Bed was absolutely marvelous. Little balcony for chillout and relaxing. Parking on site. The area and location are charming and off the beaten track. When in Molise, I would return here.

This hotel is in an excellent location with the beach across the street, the old town just 800 meters up the road and the port to catch a ferry to the Isole Tremiti is also within walking distance. They offer parking for a surcharge but it is definitely worth it. The staff from reception to housekeeping to waiters were excellent and always aiming to please. The rooms were comfortable with individual AC units so you may set the temperature to your liking. Sky TV is offered free of charge with Cinema channels that you can enjoy in their original language. Bed was also very comfortable with nice fluffy pillows. So as you can read, I totally enjoyed my stay here and I would recommend this hotel to everyone who needs to stay in Termoli.

The best thing about this property is the host Emma. Anything we needed we got and the evening meals she prepared for us were simply delicious. We would stay again and have no hesitation in recommending Massseia Santa Lucia to anyone travelling through this beautiful area.
