Wonderful location with fantastic views, very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean. The rooms are furnished with antique furniture which suits the castle. The evening menu was a 4 course set menu, but the staff did their best to accommodate gluten-free requirements. We did not find it difficult to find the castle as some other reviews have said.

Albergo Merùo is a magical place. You’re greeted with such incredible warmth from Biagio and Roberto. They were both so kind and helpful and made us feel right at home. Every detail of the place is beautifully curated with impeccable taste a unique and personal style. Everything is clean and the room we stayed in was absolutely beautiful with a window opening on a view of Morano Colabro on the hillside and another on the other side opening to the street. The breakfast was delicious and served with such care! There was also a gallery showing at the hotel of a local artist named Francesca Russo while we were there and we found her work breathtaking. At Albergo Merùo, you’re welcomed with warmth into an artful, inviting and comfortable space. We couldn’t have dreamed of better !
