From the moment we got off the airplane in Kingston and were picked up to be taken to Jay’s Guest House II, we experienced nothing but first rate hospitality. The food was incredibly delicious. The accommodations were just what we were looking for for our hiking trip. They were able to assist with every aspect of our trip; from transportation to/from Kingston, acquiring park passes, getting us to the trail and hiring an amazing guide. Everyone made it very simple for us to relax and enjoy our time.

The guesthouse is in a quiet surrounding and still close to everything. the whole property and the house are nice and clean with well equipped kitchen and a lot of space. Everything was smooth and we had a good experience staying at the guesthouse. Tyrique was very polite and friendly and we could turn to him with any issue we had.

Overall, it was a memorable stay. Upon arrival, we were met with smiling faces, so that's definitely a win in our book. We got there too early, and they expedited our check-in, which we were more than grateful for. The room was exceptional; it smelt clean and looked clean, with even a station for coffee. All we had to drink and eat at the property tasted devine. Hats off to the chefs and all the staff there.

A bit technical to reach without a taxi but absolutely possible (via farm hill trail from mavis bank). Amazing views when the sky is clear. Friendly and helpful staff. Coffee and meals available (breakfast included)

Jay’s guesthouse is a perfect base for exploring the Blue...
Jay’s guesthouse is a perfect base for exploring the Blue Mountains and hiking its main attraction: the Peak Trail. The trailhead is just a short walking distance from the village. The village and the mountains are perfectly safe to explore.
Jay and his family were very helpful and friendly. We were offered breakfast and dinner each day, and the food was fresh, tasty and plentiful. It was Jamaican village style food: chicken, fish, rice and beans, plantains, etc.
The room was clean and comfortable, and the mountain view was awesome.
We did not take any additional trips due to time constraints, but also because the road is very bumpy and it takes a long time to get anywhere. I would suggest that once you are in the village you take your time to explore the Blue Mountains cloud forest, the nearby villages and coffee farms.
I definitely recommend Jay’s guesthouse to any nature lover. Hope to come one more time and show the magical forest to my friends and family!
