What a fantastic value! Located in the heart of all the downtown Madaba historical sites, shops, and restaurants. My room was clean, comfortable, and included a nice private bathroom and a balcony overlooking downtown. Tourists and pilgrims from around the world were coming and going, and the lobby and public spaces were lively and a good place to meet people and start conversations. The check-in and check-out process was seamless, and they accommodated my early arrival with luggage. The breakfast buffet was modest but hearty. I could not recommend this place more highly.

Everyone was really kind and helpful, we got information about what we should visit in the city in our holiday. We got the opportunity to buy some souvenirs from the hotel. The room was tidy and well equipped. We had everything that we needed. The breakfast was really taste. We enjoyed our stay in Saint John Hotel a lot. Thank you for everything!

Loved the vibe in Madaba. Much more relaxed than Amman.

Loved the vibe in Madaba. Much more relaxed than Amman. Easy to get to Mount Nebo and park in the city to explore the sights. The visitors centre was really helpful in helping us plan where to visit in the limited time we had.

The Mujib is for people who want to wind down and go slow.

The Mujib is for people who want to wind down and go slow. The place needs some attention and could use a coat of paint and some general maintenance. The staff are very nice, but why are there no women working there? Overall we would recommend Mujib Chalets. The site is so beautiful and the Dead Sea so weird that there is no place like it.

Madaba is world famous for its ancient mosaics and its modern day mosaic school and workshops. If you want to see a mosaic, go to Madaba. Furthermore there are some very good and well priced restaurants.

The tourist part with St John the Baptist church, visitor...

The tourist part with St John the Baptist church, visitor centre, museum and burnt palace etc is easy to explore and plenty of eateries too. Shop keepers are helpful and don't hassle you much. Easy to take a taxi to Mount Nebo, and I also enjoyed Bethany beyond the Jordan (where John the Baptist did his work), which takes a bit longer as you get bussed from the visitor reception to the river. It was amazing to look across the river to Israel where someone was being baptised. The Dead Sea and Hot Springs are also within reach, but not sure how it works with all the 4star hotels along the edge. Yellow taxis plentiful. If it's cold in Madaba (I was there in early March and they had a cold spell) the good news is its warm at the Dead Sea and the hot springs are wonderfully warm.
