Somehow baffled by the astonishing development of Madaba, Black Iris remains for me an absolutely outstanding reference. I stayed in the new building on the 1st floor, the big room was perfectly clean, everything is brand new. But the icing on the cake are the hosts who were very helpful. To save your money and nerves, some tips valid in May 2023. First of all, use the Crown Plaza Beach Pass they offer - for a very good price you will have access to the Dead Sea until evening, umbrellas, free soft drinks and free lunch. Second, you can dine in your own restaurant and pay half for double the quality compared to ...er... outside celebrities. Third, you can pay double or triple the price for the same beer in city restaurants or the right price at your own hotel.

Where do I Start with this review! Omar is a beautiful soul, he treated us like family. He got in touch 2 days before we arrived so he could give us the location and have everything ready for our arrival and parking. He helped us park in a safe location 2 minutes walking distance away from the hotel.The hotel is brand new , lovely looking and on the main street where you have both the churches . We felt very safe walking on the streets. Madaba has a beautiful atmosphere at night. we were offered tea, coffee and cold drink on arrival. Omar helped us with our luggage and took us to our rooms, which were lovely with a spotless and new bathroom .A.c worked perfectly. Omars wife prepared a delicious typical Jordanian breakfast with so much variety that we were spoilt for choice. The breakfast was delicious. Omar helped me book a trusted camp in wadi rum as I was having difficulties distinguishing between fake and real reviews and camps. He carried on helping me even after I had left Madaba. I would highly recommend Omar and this hotel. I will be coming back to only Omars hotel when in Madaba again. Omar is my brother from another mother. His hospitality and kindness has a whole level of love in my heart for the madaba people!

The best hotel since we started the trip. The photos online do not make it justice. Breathtaking panoramic view. The personnel is so nice and helpful. The guide for the canyoning was wonderful, the manager and the other crew were also the nicest and generous persons we met since we arrived !!! Dinner and Breakfast with local food were excellent, so much better than at the Resort we went to previously. We highly recommend you to come here to Wadi Al Hidan instead of going to Wadi Al Mujib.

This was the second time we used the Mariam hotel, it's a good value for the price, comfortable for a family, we would stay again. There are shops , restaurants and a Mall nearby.
