This place was far above my expectation. I stayed in a 'capsule' but was very spacious, almost a little private room! The place was not very full so very quiet, bathroom facilities clan and you find everything you need, then available for the guest the onsen of the hotel, so nice! 2 times I was completely alone , very relaxing! Breakfast was also good. The hotel has a very nice location, closeby bus stop and like 30 mins walking from the train station. I really enjoyed Kumamoto and this place is absolutely worth the price!

Super good hotel with super good value. The hotel’s location is very good. It is closed to shopping street, Kumamoto castle and the parking opposite to that. The room and things are new and modern. Staff is very helpful and speak english very well. I surprise with the cheap price we got even on weekend. We will stay here again or find any hotel that belong to this brand hotel. Strongly recommend hotel to stay in Kumamoto. The most amazing is the view of Kumamoto castle and the bathroom stuffs.

If you want to know what it is to live like a real Japanese, a ryokan style inn is always recommended. What's more, here at Hiroshimaya, you get to be treated like a family member. Traditional Japanese experience with the warmth of a Bed & Breakfast. This is what Hiroshimaya Kumamoto is about. The bonus is that you get to be blessed by the bronze bell that a Buddhist monk strikes every morning at 6am.

Great little Hostel in the middle of Kumamoto! Walking distance to all attractions and the train station. The hosts were incredibly friendly and there were cool events even though I wasn't able to participate, they seemed to be quite a lot of fun and give you the opportunity to meet fellow travelers and locals alike! Rooms are really comfortable and the bathrooms/the whole hostel very clean!

The location adjacent to Kumamoto Station really appealed to me as as I used Kumamoto as a central location for travelling by train each day to places such as Aso, Beppu, Nagasaki and Fukuoka. When I returned each day the Food Court in the adjacent Amu Plaza was open for dining until 23:00. For sightseeing, the major stop of the Kumamoto Shiden (tram/streetcar) is right outside the hotel.

The location is amazing, right outside Kumamoto station. Bed was very comfy, everything in the building was modern and clean, and has coin laundry and pre-check-in baggage storage on premise. Great value and a surprising amount of privacy for a hostel (you have space to keep your luggage and change clothes beside your bed, with a door you can lock).

Beautiful, new hotel within walking distance to all the hot spots in Kumamoto city. As a family of 4 we had ample of space in the room and it was kitted out with everything we needed. The staff that greeted us on check-in were great. we came with a car and parked across the road for much less than the parking in front of the hotel it self.

The staff is very friendly and the location is convenient for Kumamoto station (10 minutes walk or 3 min by tram). There’s a tram stop just 2min walk from the hotel that takes you to Kumamoto Castle, Museums, Parks and shopping mall. The room for two was spacious with a double bed and a beautiful view from 21st floor to Hiroshima Castle!

Very functional, I particularly liked the cooking space and having basic cooking ingredients ready to use! I was able to cook myself a nice meal after a day of sightseeing it was very enjoyable. The location is ideal, you can just walk around Kumamoto! The apartment is fully furnished, there are even manga and games to relax yourself!

There are 2 convenience stores on the way back to hotel from Tram Station so snacks and drinks could be purchased before returning to hotel.

It was close to the bus terminal, there’s a tram station down the road, and staff was kind. The hotel is away from the shopping and bar district, so it’s nice and quiet, although you can easily get there by foot. It’s a straight seven minute walk to Kumamoto Castle, too, with a city park between the castle and the hotel.

Location is amazing. Right next to the Kumamoto Castle. If your room doesn't have a view of the castle, then the hotel has a rooftop terrace with an amazing view of the castle. Surrounded by many restaurants and shoptin all directions. Plenty of things to do within walking distance. Staff was very helpful and kind.

Helpful and friendly staffs. We arrived in the middle of the night of a snow storm and couldn’t find the way in. The staff came down and guided us to the hotel. The Hotel located on the top of AMU shopping mall and next to Kumamoto station, super convenient. Excellent breakfast. Love the interior and decor.

A good hotel at perfect location. Near to kumamoto castle, kumamon square, a lot of jinjas and many great restaurants. I merely need to take any bus and just walk to the places I want to go. I can even see the castle in my room. At night, there will be some spotlight hitting the castle and it is beautiful.

The "traditional" room that I had booked was tidy, and the bed was quite comfortable. The breakfast buffet, while limited in options, was delicious. The hotel is located between two tram stops, allowing for easy transportation around the city, and is a ten-minute walk from Kumamoto Station.

It's a very well located apartment. It was clean and comfortable. Check in was relatively simple (all done by tablet). If you are ever using Google maps to navigate to the apartment building, be aware that there are a few Your Room properties in Kumamoto, so be sure to have the right address.

The hotel is located just round the corner from Kumamoto dining out neighborhood, very easy to reach with Kumamoto’s A tram. The hotel has a zero touch philosophy, so everything is pretty much automated and it’s hard to interact with the staff. The room I was given was pretty clean yet very small.

Location - 1 stop away from the Kumamoto station by a street train. Very historic and Japanese facility. Recommended for whoever wishes to experience something unique. The room is concise/compact (good for a single-traveler), and everything was approachable from a bed space.

I don’t really remember much about the place but the nice interior. The location is good too if you want to visit Kumamoto castle but quite far from Kumamoto station. There is a conbini right below the property so late night cravings won’t be a problem.

The owner is a really nice lady. She was so helpful and nice and gave me information about Kumamoto and where to go! Also the Hostel looks amazing and everything is lovely decorated! Also I love the typical japanese style of the hostel.
