The property feels like it was built during a time when hotels were made to last — solid, classic, and beautifully maintained. Stepping inside felt like boarding a luxurious cruise ship, complete with elegant interiors and warm hospitality. One of the highlights was our room’s balcony view — absolutely stunning — and the array of amenities, many of which were complimentary, added so much value to our stay. A car rental is highly recommended to explore the area, and thankfully, the hotel makes it incredibly easy. We booked directly with them for just ¥8,500 per night, which was already a steal compared to outside rental services — plus we were able to return the car at midnight, which was super convenient. Pro tip: Coordinate your flights with the hotel’s shuttle schedule to save yourself an ¥8,000 taxi fare. There is a shuttle bus that lets you go to the Hilton renaissance and enjoy all the activities at that resort as if you were staying there if you get the coco club perk. I love this city.
I love this city. Unlike most cities I have been in, there is almost no trash to be found on the streets, anywhere! At no time did I ever feel unsafe, no matter where in the city I walked. The people are extremely polite and friendly. The food is absolutely amazing! I LOVE this place! You want the best places to eat, look for the small ones. The staff is very personable, professional, and kind-hearted. I was very happy with their presence. My original room was rather dark, so I requested a room with more natural light. The new room was beautiful and bright and I was completely satisfied with it. I was so looking forward to using the onsen, but my schedule did not permit me back until after 2200 each night. I would have appreciated the onsen staying open till 2300 or 2400. I was grateful for the free laundry. And the washing detergent is amazing- I would like to be able to purchase that! The breakfast buffet was plentiful, delicious with a good variety of healthy foods. My stay at EM was very pleasant and I hope to stay there in the future. The places I needed and wanted to go to were all within -20 minutes from each other. The area is nice and walkable, some family marts and Lawsons on the way if you need to stop for a quick snack or need to pick something last minute. A great location in between the bustle of Naha/Chatan and some of the major attractions up north. The area is a good mix of traditional Okinawan culture and modern tourist expectations. There are a lot of great places to eat—Minami sushi, Mainichi Shokudo, Obbligato, Sabroso—satisfying both conservative and adventurous eaters. The Southern part of Okinawa is neither pretty nor particularly pleasant.A chaotic collection of rarely attractive buildings, it is plagued by traffic jams, lack of public transportation, etc. Still, there are a few worthwhile archeological remains, some good restaurants, the old (mostly pedestrian) part of Naha is very pleasant.
