The Fuji Green Hotel is a good pick for people looking to explore around the base of Mount Fuji. The hotel is across the street from Fuji station, so it is extremely easy to access for travelers, and there is a small-wheel bicycle visitors can borrow for free if they want to go further than walking distance. The room I stayed in was larger than I was expecting it to be, and had a nice view of the surrounding city. It probably has a good view of Mount Fuji as well, though I stayed during rainy and cloudy weather, so I cannot confirm it myself.

Really beautiful, relaxing and child friendly place to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The best we slept during our time in Japan. Loved the convenient location. 10 min walk to Kawaguchiko station and to boat ride. Appreciated the child safety gate for the stairs and the high chair for our toddler. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others traveling to this area. Place is just as pictured. We loved seeing Mount Fuji right outside the window.

Excellent location right next to the train station and with amazing mountain and mount Fuji views. I had low expectations for this 1-night stay as it was a budget choice, but was happy with the comfort and with the room, it served its purpose. The staff kept our luggage while we explored the area and was friendly, knowing a few sentences in Japanese definitely goes a long way. I was happy with it and would return if looking for a convenient and budget-friendly stay.

Our host was super welcoming and friendly! He messaged us a few days before arriving to ask what time we'd like to be picked up, and has set times to bring you back to the station on the day you leave as well. He also recommended great activities for us to do. The view was gorgeous - we were so excited to be able to see Mount Fuji in the morning from our room. We miss Hostel Michikusa-ya and our host already and would definitely stay there again.

Our stay at the Mount Fuji View Hotel was nothing short of amazing. The room itself was beautiful, with an incredibly comfortable bed—honestly, it’s the best bed we’ve ever stayed in. Waking up to views of Mount Fuji every morning was an unforgettable experience. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and their warmth and attentiveness truly made our stay special. And the food… just insane! You won’t regret booking this hotel.

The house is extremely well taken care of! The host was very kind to keep our luggage when we arrived earlier than check-in time, she also offered to drop us off at the train station after our stay. Also since we stayed on New Year's Eve, she cooked us a special mochi soup breakfast, yumz! Her English is great so nothing to worry about if you don't speak Japanese. Looking forward to going back someday to climb Mount Fuji :)

Hotel Is located with a superb view of Mount Fuji. The view is simply breath talking and magnificent. Breakfast spread offers amazing view of Mount Fuji with excellent food choices and spread. Hotel and room is very clean and very well maintained. When it comes to food exploration, spoilt for choices with restaurants lining up down the street. Will definitely return if we’re heading to Japan again. Highly recommended!!

What an amazing location! The hotel is perfectly placed for you to enjoy Kawaguchiko but far enough from the hustle and bustle of the central station. If you’re after a break from the cities of Japan, this hotel fulfils it. Don’t miss renting out bikes from reception to travel around the lakes and see Mount Fuji in all its glory! The hot springs at the hotel are fantastic and really made it feel like a spa getaway!

Polite and helpful staff when we arrived to check in. Hotel was very clean and the rooms were comfortable and quiet. Nice selection of food to choose from at dinner and breakfast. The best bit for us was the view of Mount Fuji from our room and also whilst enjoying the onsen. It really was worth the extra journey on our 2 week break around Japan. We also enjoyed the lake walk at dawn.

The room was traditional Japanese style with tatami floors and a “futon” style bed (that is assembled on the floor). The view was really lovely—could see Mount Fuji clearly in the morning (as well as from the upstairs onsen). Highly recommend as a simple no-frills onsen stay right next to the train station with easy access to the lake, the ropeway, and all the natural beauty.

Yamagishi Ryokan offers a wonderful location near Lake Kawaguchi, with stunning views of Mount Fuji that are truly memorable. The traditional Japanese ambiance, complete with tatami-style rooms, provides an authentic cultural experience. Although I didn’t have the chance to use the onsen, it’s a notable highlight that adds to the relaxing atmosphere of the property.

The hotel was clean and spacious by Japan standard. There is a bus stop that stops directly in front of the hotel (red line) and a Family Mart attached to the complex. You can see Mount Fuji from your window and from the front of the hotel. Hotel staffs were also very kind and approachable and let us keep our luggage at the lobby for the day even after checking out.

We were unsure before to come to this camp but it turned out the best part of our trip in Japan. They have shuttle from and to train station, the suit has heatter, the futons were comfortable, toilet and shower are so clean. We could see the mount Fuji every morning at our doorstep, it was amazing view. Strongly recommande it. Thank to all staffs

10 min walk from the station, view to mount Fuji from the couples room, the room is big and modern looking, clean and comfy. The entrance is beautiful and the coffee that was prepared for us was the best we had in Japan, it reminded us of home. Sadly the kitchen was closed on the night we stayed but 5 years a go when I stayed here it was great!

One of the highlights during our two weeks in Japan. We loved that we could cycle everywhere (the bicycles were provided for free). Beautiful view overlooking Mount Fuji from the balcony! Away from the crowds and surrounded by nature. Super friendly host, who even drove us to the station when we checked out. Such a wonderful place to stay!

Mount Fuji is right in front of the hotel,; decent Japanese breakfast but not so much for Western one; taking off shoes and placing them in lockers before going to the room was quite strange at first but soon it was comfortable to walk around in shoes provided, and clean; three free parking lots

It’s a cozy accommodation and giving you vibe of living a local life in Japan :) the surrounding area is quiet and picturesque… you don’t need to walk far to Honcho street to take those instagramable picture, just need to walk a bit and you can see the majestic mount fuji (if she’s not shy).

Traditional Japanese hostel. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful - they helped to book a bus to Tokyo and even cut the end off our walking sticks from mount Fuji so it would fit in our bags. The hostel was very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here!

Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location. Hotel surrounded by beautiful trees and lake Yamanakako with mount Fuji across the road. Really enjoyed relaxing in the onsen. There is a bar for drinks and all you can eat buffet with a large variety of tasty food. Highly recommend.

Best hotel In Japan! The room was big, comfortable, we booked the speedway view since in the summer you don’t see Mount Fuji and it’s was pretty amazing, you can see the cars practice and race! My boyfriend loved it and the museum is very nice too. Very nice staff too :)
