Situated in Yamanouchi in the Nagano Region, 5 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park, Hotel Ichinose boasts ski-to-door access and a ski school. Cozy hotel, right by the Ichinose Family ski area. The staff is absolutely amazing, 100% focus on making your stay pleasant. We went there for a ski trip and it was really convenient. The public bath is great for after skiing, and both dinner and breakfast buffets were excellent, with many good quality choices.

Location amazing, very 1950’s vibe and excellent for relaxing with family with adult children. ski on ski out was great and field excellent for beginners/ intermediate skiers with no queues as at far end of the Shiga fields. Staff professional and friendly. loved our 5 nights.

Chalet Shiga is located in Shiga Kogen in Joshinetsu Kogen National Park, only a 1-minute walk from Diamond Ski Resort and Family Ski Resort. Everything! Front desk, breakfast, rental shop, rooms, onsen, cleanliness….all top notch.

The chefs need time to get groceries and prepare for dinner service (charged separately from room cost) They have one laundry machine for shared use.

But the best is the people, all the staff is so kind and helpful, and the manager is the most friendly person ever!!! I had the best birthday ever staying at this hotel !! We have to come back !
