The property is a home away from home, with a touch of safari. I told the hotel management that the pictures on booking.com do not do justice to the beauty of this place.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, there’s security at the premises and that makes you feel safe. Every now and then, you’re greeted by blue/nut monkeys, they do not attack but they can pose for their pictures to be taken.
This is no marketing, but I recommend you book the full board, so you get to enjoy exclusive breakfast, lunch and dinner with rotational menu filled with different choices of delicious savoury, sweet and even grills.
The lodge is located right inside Shaba game reserve, the moment you drive out of the property, you will see a herd of impala or waterbucks. Sometimes, elephants show up too.
I can go on and on, but special thanks to Mr. Pius for his great guitar skills and Ms. Mercy for her warm cheerful smiles. I will come back some other time. Enjoy the pictures I added here.
Bonus:
If you arrange with your tour operator, he might drive you to Samburu village. For that, you’ll need some cash to buy their merch and support them if you wish.

Archers Post is convenient for three cool reserves but it's remote so bring your own snacks and an emergency medical kit. The sun is brutal and the air is dry. We all got sun sickness and dehydration even though we used sunscreen, drank a lot of water and stayed in the shade. Nearest petrol station is 35 km away. Plan carefully. Don't forget your ID.

Getting around Maralal was easy, one aspect about our visit which we liked. We mostly ate at Ngari Hill EcoLodge, but had ventured out to Safari Lodge Camp and, more excitingly, at Ribs Garden for roast meat.
The people in Maralal seemed very friendly, hence, we felt free and secure to walk around the streets.
