Grassy savannas, shallow lakelands, snow-capped mountains, the Great Rift Valley and golden coasts – Kenya’s endless variety of landscapes overlap in one adventurous, welcoming package. A popular place to start is Nairobi, the nation’s bustling capital, which sits at the heart of the magnificent Nairobi National Park. Take a safari tour for the chance to see herds of zebra, buffalo and wildebeest crossing the open plain. This park is one of many that form the vast Maasai Mara National Reserve. Further south, there’s Amboseli National Park, which draws water from the streams of looming Mount Kilimanjaro, creating a thriving wetland habitat that lures lions, elephants and giraffes. Towards the coast, you’ll find the massive Tsavo National Park, home to beautiful scenery, and more rich and varied wildlife. Beyond here lies the coastal city of Mombasa – a multicultural port where people from all sides of the Indian Ocean live side by side. Kenya’s impressive infrastructure allows for safaris by car, bus or plane, and the possibility to stay in accommodation ranging from luxury lodges to tented camps. There are plenty of hotels and apartments to rent in the bigger cities like Nairobi and Mombasa, or Eldoret in the west.
The staff was absolutely lovely and the head chef, Peter and his staff absolutely enchanting. I asked for yoghurt with my food the first night and from then on they asked me every evening if I'd like plain yoghurt with my food, regardless of Peter's presence.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner was delicious. There was so much variety and some nights they had a huge barbecue and tandoor for fresh rotis.
Grace in the cafe was really sweet and in fact all the staff were amazing and made us feel at home.
The resort is right by Naivasha Lake and you can see the hippos hanging out by the lakeside if you're lucky!
The staff were very friendly. Everything reasonably priced. A great place.
A special thanks to the staff on the morning of our checkout. I screwed up the flight times by 3 hours. So we left in a rush. They checked us out very quickly and organised a taxi very quickly despite us already booking one later.
A massive thanks to everyone and i will definitely stay there again next time I'm in Nairobi.
Credit card payment had stalled from Switzerland to the property. The staff worked hard on a public holiday to ensure we had an alternative way to pay the bills (was for my Mother 70th birthday - she was the traveller). they followed up with updates on the process and the stay for her, and were particularly caring as she was alone. Everything was world class service. From start to finish.
the hotel is very nice. although old the buildings are well kept. the employees are very friendly and helpful. then the SPA inside...perfect. also the good is very good. i enjoyed every bite. and yes! the little monkeys are absolute adorable.
The hotel was very clean, very new and modern furniture and feel. My bed was a little hard and when I mentioned this, it was immediately rectified with a down mattress. The food in the restaurant was world class!
Was served by Mariam, customer care employee and I enjoyed my 4 days stay there. They have me more than what I expected. I can always recommend PrideInn Mombasa to anyone going there for job or holiday. 😃
