The breakfast was poorly served by already unmotivated fatigued staff who never cared about cleanliness of the tables after use by customers.

It is a hotel that holds all the wonders of Africa in the past but has all the creature comforts of the present.
You could wonder around the grounds all day and be fascinated by the art. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and they seem to be very happy working there.
The owner is always hands-on and they seem to be one happy family, which rubs off on their kindness to their guests.
Great location right on the beach with security to fend off the usual beach boys selling their wares. Special thanks to Gimmy, the head waiter/ bar man. A real Gent, professional, helpful, and respectful.

The information on Booking.com about Malindi is an accurate representation of what I found on site. I visited the following places:
Galana Shopping Centre
Vasco da Gama Pillar
Portuguese Chapel
Malindi Marine National Park.
I occasionally ate out from a wide range of restaurants in the city centre. It was quite easy to move around Malindi and I currently have no experience of places to avoid while in Malindi.

Laid back lifestyle, great beaches, wonderful Italian pizzas. Vasco Da Gama pillar and Portuguese chapel are right there. Museums need updating. Not a huge amount to do in Malindi but if you want to get out and about, Hell's Kitchen in Marafa is worth visiting. It is a mini mini Grand Canyon. Karibuni villas in Mambrui is also nice - clearest sea water you ever saw.
The staff was amazing! The manager and Owner as well. Friendly and just felt like family.
The pool was clean and deep(3m).
The beach is next to the apartment/hotel.
Every weekend there would be something happening. Ie DJ and band.
Vasco de Gama was close by. Swahili dishes restaurant and Pizzerias near by. Made daily life easier.
It was so great I stayed here from Dec till Jan! For three weeks! Sarah, Martin, Fiona and the rest of the team, Thank you for a great stay!
Everything was absolutely beautiful! The whole place, clean and comfortable, the pool and palm trees by the ocean like a dream! The staff always friendly and helpful! The food phenomenal, we booked half board and had delicious breakfast and dinner buffets with so much choice! The wifi was the best I’ve had in Kenya so far. I will definitely stay here again! Asante sana!!!
The host was very helpful in any queries not only in regards to the property, I could ask about anything, Coffee, tea, sugar, and water was provided.
The place is very cosy with lovely ocean view, peaceful area.
Motorbike can be used to go to town centre Malindi for just 100sh
Probably the only thing that I liked was the position in front of the beach which offered us a marvelous view of the sunrise. Let me add that the guys of the bar-restaurant were very friendly but for the rest let me say that it's the worst hotel where to stay.
