We really enjoyed our stay at Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams. The breakfast offered a very large variety of options, and it was great to have a swimming pool with a steam sauna. The service was friendly and professional, and the apartments were modern, clean, and very comfortable. Highly recommended!

A stunning residence with very helpful hotel staff. The 'Deluxe Attic room' was perfect for two adults/two teens as it has a mezzanine with two single beds. Beautiful large bathroom. The hosts were so lovley and helpful. We arrived late at night which wasn't a problem. Local renowned architect Geoffrey Bawa designed the residence and it's a beautiful space to be in - beautiful indoor/outdoor design. Tea, water etc is available but no breakfast. Getting a tuk tuk around to nearby cafes is easy. We also went to the sister Jetwing hotel for buffet breakfast which was lovely.

The staff were really nice and helpful. The breakfast was amazing, they had fresh fruit (best papaya I've ever had). I stayed for a night first at the beginning of my trip, then two more nights at the end of my trip. I stayed in two different rooms and they were both amazing and super spacious. I loved the showers, they had very good flow and were quite spacious as well. The balcony was also super cute.

Location is fabulous as it's just opposite beach. Food is typical Sri Lankan which may not cater to everyone's taste. Staff are very cheerful n helpful. They have a swimming pool which is very well maintained. Rooms are hygenic n airy with balcony facing the beach. Would definitely recommend others to visit this hotel and experience an enjoyable n comfortable stay.

The hospitality! Was perfect for my needs. Central location and great value. I got in around 3 am and the staff were so friendly and kind. Made you feel welcome. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was well appointed with modern amenities. The pool was heavenly after a long flight.

I stayed in Mount Lavinia during the very hot season, when temperatures became extremely high already between 10:00 and 15:00. Because of this, spending long periods on the beach was difficult, especially since there were very few places with shade—no sunbeds, no umbrellas, and very limited sheltered areas. The beach itself, however, is beautifully wide and covered with soft golden sand. I especially enjoyed the restaurants along the shore, particularly Golden Beach, which offered a lovely atmosphere and great views. It is important to mention that the beach is not perfectly clean in all areas. Due to the presence of fishing activity and the proximity to urban zones, some sections had noticeable plastic waste and other rubbish that is not collected regularly. This created an unpleasant impression at times, and it also made me slightly concerned about the water quality, especially since the sea was extremely warm and the debris often washed up in the same spot. Conditions may vary depending on the time of year, of course. The beach itself feels safe and is wonderful for long walks, but swimmers should be cautious. During my stay, there were strong riptides and powerful waves that broke very quickly—likely a combination of the season, heat, and wind. Anyone planning to swim should be attentive to the changing sea conditions.

Great service, and having the entire property at my disposal was very nice, played some great music on the bluetooth audio, mostly enjoyed the relaxing garden and the swing which was so nice in day and as well as in night.

Lovely town.

Lovely town. Sri Lankan government buildings are located in this town. Citizenship and Immigration, Visa and NIC offices are here. There is also the Diyawanna Lake with board walks, bicycle routes, Parks and walk ways, perfect sceneries. Easy to get around town just by walking. About 30 minutes drive from Colombo Port City and One Galle Face Mall. About 45 minutes drive from Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport.

Dehiwela is very multi cultural and many differant varieties...

Dehiwela is very multi cultural and many differant varieties of restaurants and clothing along hill street which we stayed. people were very nice and polite to us and we felt safe even at late hours. also walking along hill street is quite a visual experience and we have done a few food crawls (like pub crawl but for food! ) along hill street. I would recommend dehiwela as a yet undiscovered gem in sri lanka with its own personality.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I stayed at ACCOM Premium Residence for one night and had a very pleasant experience. The apartment was extremely clean, comfortable, and well maintained. It’s a great place to stay if you’re looking for a clean and peaceful environment. Special thanks to Mr Faizal, who was very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. His hospitality made the experience even better. I would definitely recommend this place and would be happy to stay here again

Watumulla is really close to the Ocean, the beach is stunning, and the bars great. There is a dive School (October to May) just north and the Mount Lavinia does incredible buffet lunches. Nothing better than Sunday lunch tehre, and an afternoon in the sun by the pool. Its really fast into Colombo in a Tuk.

We flew in to Colombo and were then heading north to Jaffna...

We flew in to Colombo and were then heading north to Jaffna by train so chose the Kingsbury hotel due to its proximity to the station. Had one full day to visit the sights of the city and feel that we did just that in one long day. Very helpful local self appointed guides; just be sensible and give them a little something for their service. Very easy to get around by foot or tuk-tuk but make sure you agree a price before travelling. Perfect start to our travels around Sri Lanka and also a great place to stay for the last night before flying out. Great restaurants in the old Dutch hospital site.
