Karthik who took care of us in restaurant &bar with his team prashanth,niranjan,arun. chef saman jayantha. They all make us fell so welcome and they indulge us all day from morning to evening . The room was decor by lakraj & it was always cleaned twice a day and the bed decorated with flowers. The food is excellent taste so well. The property in all is beautiful clean open space and a fabulous pool and beach. We had a marvelous stay.

Puvan and team are really kind and caring staff. Puvan arranged many things for us including excursions to Pigeon Island. The location is amazing, really quiet on a pristine beach with no one around. It is kind of remote from the places with more activity and restaurants but those are accessible very easily by tuktuk. Food is also great

Amanta beach is an exceptional place. Located on a secluded beach, with a beautiful garden. Everything is perfectly maintained. The staff are amazing and very service minded. One of the highlights is the exceptional food. You are treated to combinations of flavours which you have never tasted before, all super fresh, organic and locally produced. We had a great time at the Nilaveli beach resort. The staff was really very nice. What is not said is that, on the beach, next to the resort, there is an exceptionnal spectacle every day: traditionnal fishing. Fishermen bring an enormous net with a boat, about 1 km away from the shore. The net is linked with 2 long ropes that 20 people pull up from the beach for about 2 hours. Estonishing to discover how many fishes they bring that way in their net!

We received a warm welcome from the owner and staff, who went above and beyond to meet our needs. The place is amazing, brand new, with beautiful, comfortable, and clean cabanas, exactly as shown in the pictures. The pool area is also great, and the resort is within walking distance of Nilaveli Beach and good restaurants. We stayed for three days and had the break and relaxation we were looking for. We’ll definitely come back!

We were their first guests. The staff is super friendly and they always wanted to help us with arranging a snorkeling tour or other plans. The rooms are very clean and the bathroom too ! They have a very nice balcony for chilling that they will convert to a dining area later. I would definitely recommend this place !!

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel (5 nights), especially thanks to the amazingly friendly and caring staff and manager of the hotel! They are trying so much to feel their guests comfortable! Daily we used the large hotel pool and the lonely and clean beach (when the sea was calmer). One evening they prepared only for us luxury dinner as a gift for us, it was delicius! The hotel restaurant is perfect, we have eat there everyday. Almost everyday we made short trips to Trincomalee center and for sightseeing around via tuk tuk. The staff takes care for the hotel carefully - daily they clean the nice green garden, pool and also the beach. The hotel is not new, but it would helps to improve the impression with so much little - just like do new paint in the rooms or repair the tile in the pool for safety.

Super big spotless clean suite, very good food at a good price, nice swimming area, super relaxing stay and nice people. If there is any issue, they solve it immediately. Some comments are mentionning that it is a bit wore out, it is correct that in some common area’s not all is brand new, but this did not bother us because of the nice atmosphere. Would book this proprety again without doubt, just the room price when we stayed was slightly high, but you also get a lot for it.

The staff was very nice and very warm. We really appreciated the quality of the service. The room was great, the restaurant was really good and the pool and the private beach are clearly amazing assets. We stayed there for 3 days and we felt like we were in a paradise bubble. I also had a very nice massage. I highly recommend and will go back for sure!!

Trincomalee has recovered from the years of domestic strife.

Trincomalee has recovered from the years of domestic strife. there was a very upbeat air about the place. Everywhere we went, people generally looked happy, smiled or waved. Our hotel was on Uppuveli beach which is beautiful. We then had to return to Colombo Airport, which we were easily, and reasonably able to do on the Visit Lanka website. More locally there are masses of tuktuks. We found the Pick Me app very useful, which is a Sri Lankan equivalent of Uber

I liked the small hotel we stayed in on the beach front (Mithra Paradise) and the semi-private beach. A real gem if you're looking for a quiet romantic place. Much better than the big faceless commercial hotels. I would recomemmend the small guest houses in the whole of SL for this reason as the service is exceptional and they are usually family-run so they put a lot of love and effort into pleasing their guests. No mosquitoes in July. Avoid the dolphin watching 'chasing' tours. Loads of boats making a big noise and running over the dolphins. Poor animals. You only glimpse them for a few seconds and the boat ride is hell on your back. Try the snorkelling instead.

This location was absolutely beautiful.

This location was absolutely beautiful. There's lots to see and do and 3 nights wasn't enough to fully enjoy the setting. Yes you can spend time at the beach and go snorkeling, but you can also visit the Thiruskoneswaram temple and eat delicious food on Sarvodaya Road. We highly recommend Rice 'n' Curry Restaurant. As well as The White House for Accommodation and Rangan Snorkeling

it was great there.No worries about the sea,just the wind was blowing a bit strong.Com[any always around you,you are safe there.You can book snorkelling,boat rides,sea tour any time,many options available.saw about 200 DOLPHINS!fisherman always fuzzing around in the morning.Annoying fishing boats.

Trincomalee is a beautiful beach town, the beaches are amazing, lots of cultural things to do if you want, as well as lots of relaxation. Some great restaurants on the beach and in the town. The only draw back is it takes quite along time to get to (depending on where you are coming from) but that is the same across most of Sri Lanka

A much more peaceful beach holiday that at neighbouring Uppaveli, so if you want to get away from the crowds, it’s a perfect spot. The surrounding countryside looks beautiful too - I wish we’d have had more time to explore. We ate at Sara’s fish restaurant, where the seafood kottu & prawn curry were delicious.
