So clean and so fresh! We didn’t want to leave. There is everything You could need. Comfy bed and everything so stylish. Want to return on summer and try sauna and swims in river Gauja.

Pleasant, but apart from the fact that it's one town in two...
Pleasant, but apart from the fact that it's one town in two countries, there is not that much to see / do. Cool to step over border and take a look at Estonian supermarket with slightly different goods, have some Estonian icecream. Liked town square on the Estonian side, a couple of monuments. Several spots for lunch / dinner, some even a bit fancy. I took a quick look during one afternoon, and the next morning took a bus to the nearby Strenci for a lovely forest walk along Gauja river.
If you're planning a longer trip, look beyond Valka Municipality and set off to explore the whole country!
