Zahra runs the camp. She is an extremly nice and kind person. She, her mother and her aunt are the most welcoming people, they took a long time for us, offering us tea and homemade maroccan cake. Breakfast was brilliant, unfortunately we arrived too late in the evening, so we couldn’t enjoy dinner there. The place is very beauiful, everything is super clean and very convenient. We were very sad , that we had to leave and couldn’ t stay longer there. I recommend Zahra’s place very warmly.

The riad is absolutely gorgeous - it’s a historic building that is over 100 years old and the women who run the riad - the lovely Fatima and her wonderful mom - who are the same family that built the home that became the riad, are absolutely amazing. Honestly, anyone who wants an authentic experience in a Moroccan, Sahrawi home should stay here. The delicious home-cooked food, using all organic ingredients from the family’s farm, the lovely company of Fatima and her family, and the beautiful riad (not to mention the beauty of this lesser well-known part of the Sahara) make Riad Bounaylat among the best places you can stay in Morocco if you are looking for a real Moroccan experience. My family is half Moroccan and I can confidently say that Riad Bounaylat is the real deal when it comes to Moroccan hospitality. I am a cyclist and was planning to head towards the Sahara Desert. The hotel staff provided me with a lot of information about the desert—they were extremely kind. The interior of the hotel is very beautiful, and there is also a pool. For this price, the quality of the interior is truly amazing. Of course, the rooms are also clean and quite spacious.
