The location cannot be beat. You get to watch the sun set and rise over the marina. Our room was located along the same floor as the pool deck, at first we thought this might be loud for any parties going on but we thoroughly enjoyed it and the hotel stayed fairly calm and quiet. The breakfast buffet was phenomenal absolutely worth every penny. If you're traveling with a car they have free parking for the duration of your trip as long as you don't lose your parking ticket. We were looking for a place to stay for a couple days when we got our bearings in Cabo and this place far exceeded our expectations. I would 100% recommend staying here again and have told people about this hotel already. Definitely worth it. If you were considering doing the all-inclusive option. You can buy it per day so I wouldn't waste your money on all inclusive option unless you're planning on being there all day. Also if you're planning any boat excursions you're just a hop skip and a jump away. The location on the marina is excellent for people watching.

This is the best hotel we've ever stayed in. The rooms are spacious and have every amenity you could want (there was a hot tub and plunge pool in ours). The swimming pools are unreal and the quality of the food and drinks second to none (there wasn't a meal we had that I wouldn't have paid for in a restaurant). The thing that sets this place apart though is the service. We had our own concierge (Natalia) and she was the best thing about our stay. There was nothing that was too much for her to do and she was a really useful source of information on transport/excursions etc. Natalia also arranged all our dinner reservations and was a real point of difference for our stay.

The resort has a very beautiful design and is full of details everywhere. The pool and beach areas are very comfortable with different types of beds and sun loungers. It's not possible to swim in the ocean because currents are very strong. The family apartments have a fully equipped kitchen and are very well maintained and comfortable. I would go back again! Only the food at the resort is really pricey, but there are more options at restaurants across the street.

Awesome location, Walkable to downtown via the Marina but away from the noise; beautiful pool with comfy lounge chairs, right by a beautiful beach and „lands end“ rocks (not swimmable), really hot jaccuzi, amazing breakfast (French toast was the best), comfy room, free entertainment with Amy (aerobics and yoga), best value for money for the amount of boxes it ticked for me

I stayed at Maina Fiesta. It was near restaurants and shops. We went on a glass bottom boat ride and on a cruise with dinner. We were able to see whales which was a plus on our cruise! I liked the hotel spa. It was all very relaxing and fun. I went to Sea of Cortez beach. All was great!

We only stayed right in San Jose for one night, otherwise we were on Medano Beach in Cabo for the week. San Jose has a slightly slower and calmer vibe with some beautiful hotels and near Flora Farms and Acre which are amazing restaurants. Some hotels in San Jose have made their beaches a bit more swimmable but the only natural swimmable beach is Medano further south near downtown and the Marina area. That area has a much younger and livelier vibe.

The town consists of about 150 residents who joined together to preserve the marine life and make wise environment choices. They don’t allow big hotels or businesses to take over and that makes this place an authentic gem. The town runs on solar energy and everyone is mindful of the resources. I fell in love with Cabo Pulmo, its people, and their philosophy.

Comfortable spot with great beach access and a quiet location for this part of the East Cape. There is not anything special to do besides relax by the pool and walk/swim at the nearby ocean. We ate three meals on the restaurant patio. All were good to excellent.

A charming and quiet community—gated, safe, and with access to a semi-private beach. The only downside is the limited number of services within walking distance. There is a supermarket nearby, but reaching it requires crossing a highway, which can be dangerous.

Cabo is nice, however it's become popular and can be difficult to enjoy the beauty of its authenticity due to tourist traps. If one goes out to where the locals eat, shop and enjoy the beaches it is worthwhile.

San José del Cabo is going through major construction on highway 1. Therefore, the traffic congestion is bad. You will be delayed getting through traffic up to 30 minutes. They are building a roundabout through the center of town during the day. So you can imagine the delays. Once you get to the beaches you will be impressed with the serenity and peace. However, there's a big difference between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. More pristine and the Lover's Arch, along with the Sea of Cortez in the Marina and the Pacific Ocean sunsets you won't get in San José del Cabo.

La Ribera is mostly residential, so mostly a point where you can travel to other places like Cabo Pulmo and Santiago. Cabo Pulmo itself is really tiny & touristy, so we preferred La Ribera to have a few more food options. And as we only wanted one day in Cabo Pulmo anyway (it is only a 30 minute-ish drive on a dirt road). La Ribera is also not far from Santiago (also a tiny town), but has lovely activities like Canyon de la Zorro (waterfall hike) and Santa Rita hot springs (the latter we've heard great things about but we unfortunately planned it for a Wednesday & they are closed that day). I think two nights in La Ribera is plenty. There is not a lot going on in La Ribera itself except the local food is good--we recommend Tacos y Mariscos Vianey!
