- From $412.58 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very Good - What previous guests thought, 1,054 reviewsThe hotel is located right on the sand dunes facing both the beach and the forest behind. Facilities including the rooms are recently updated. There are still some indications that this hotel has been here for a long time entertaining beachside holiday makers, but that in my opinion adds to its charm. Staff were very friendly. Pool and wellness areas were very nice additions especially on a rainy winters day. The sauna's were really large, with plenty of room to soak up the heat.Guest review byGareth NicholsonNetherlands

The location is unbeatable, with direct beach access just steps away. Breakfast was delicious, and although I didn’t try all the amenities, they were great. The underground parking with easy access made arrival hassle-free. This hotel exceeded my expectations and is totally worth a visit for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.Guest review byHatemSaudi Arabia

Location of the hotel is perfect, not far away from the Rockanje city center but far enough to be quite. It is 6 mins walk to the beach and to the trekking paths around. Also the breakfast was good for the money that you pay when you compare with Dutch standards.Guest review byDeamonoflaplaceTurkey

It's a very lively part of town but doesn't seem to be overly touristic, at least in October and May. As a woman it feels very safe to walk around at all hours, and the neighborhood is quite beautiful. The beach is like a breath of freedom. Also, if one is a surfer it's a good place to be.Guest review byJoisItaly - 8.0
Zandvoort was a good base with shops and restaurants.
Zandvoort was a good base with shops and restaurants. We visited the Circuit Park. We also enjoyed visiting Leiden by train and Kinderdijk UNESCO World Heritage site by car. We ate at the Bella Italian restaurant near the railway station and various other places.Guest review bySusanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I used to live 20 minute cycle ride from here so have been there many times. Very nice town, the promenade is a lovely walk or bike ride. Would encourage people to hire bikes and explore. There is a fantastic bike ride through the dunes very scenic. The beach is very big with restaurants dotted all along. A really nice place to visit.Guest review byGRSUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Lovely promenade walk.
Lovely promenade walk. Great choice of restaurants in the square. Recommend the restaurant in the old prison. Perfect spot for a drink watching the sunset. Hire a e-bike and cycle to Domburg via the coast. Plenty of spots to stop atGuest review byjacquiUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Village of Renesse has not much to offer : a couple of little supermarkets, sport shops and mostly fast food restaurants. Only reason to go there, is the impressive beach, with great views on seals colonies on bright days, and lovely walks sheltered by the dunes on not so bright and windy daysGuest review byMichelFrance - 8.0

Many opportunities for eating out and close to the beach and nature. Relatively far from the other cities but not as far as De Cocksdorp: Den Burg or De Waal would be a better option if you want to be in a more central area, but everything is relatively close so it does not matter too much.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
This is a wonderful place for a peaceful escape.
This is a wonderful place for a peaceful escape. It is in the middle of forest and pastures so it is very quiet. There are excellent walking trails nearby. The house is very clean and tastefully decorated with enough space to be very comfortable. Even in the cold of winter it was well heated. The kitchen is very well equipped with good quality items. The quirky coffee-maker is fascinating and makes excellent coffee. There is a very good collection of maps and guide books for the local area. Hanneke's welcome was fulsome and very friendly and informative. Checkout was efficient and friendly. There are several very good restaurants a short drive away, try Puur.Guest review byGlenUnited States - 10.0

Nes is a cosy, historical village, not cheap, but not very expensive either. It is the harbor village located almost in the middle of Ameland and therefore perfect for day trips to either direction. The restaurants are good quality, so is the ice-cream, the vegetables and everything else you can buy. There is a great supermarket called Jumbo on the main road from the ferry. If you want to go for hikes, nature with lots of birds, deer and wild rabbits are just a short walk away. The Amelanders love their horses, and they are everywhere.Guest review byMargrethe - 10.0

A little gem of a city with a bi of everything: beaches, culture, food and restaurants, sailing, very family-friendly and that laid-back Dutch atmosphere that makes for a really relaxing but stimulating holiday. The smokefree beach and FONK are absolute highlights, with the SeaLife Centre and Legoland great rainy-day options. The best way around is via bike. It is super safe and a gentle pace to get through the cities (Den Haag and Scheveningen).Guest review byStevenGermany
