Dordrecht is located in the centre of the island of Funen and as a base for exploring Denmark it is excellent, as other major tourist cities or sites are all in reasonable rail or road distance. Drove and took the backroads on my way to Gorinchem. Roads were narrow thru the country area and sometimes uphill and downhill. Laahavvvvv it!!!..it was a rainy/stormy weather and it just made me reminisce of the countryside were I grew from. The view and vibe was amazing. Bewertung. We were 3 Girls on a roadtrip staying at this beautiful Place and we loved it! Its really worth it to book the breakfast. Everything is Made with so much love. If you are a bit picky you have to know: the bathrom is „outside“ and its a camping toilet but its Fine. We couldnt find trash bags so maybe bring your own. The whole area was lovely if you like peace and quiet and quaint scenery. We ate at a very nice restaurant called the Krom , where the service was excellent and the food was good. The garden area, where the caravan was, was lovely. Very creative owners. The caravan was small but perfect for a solo bicyclist. The architecture is a harmonious blend of the past and present - from graceful merchant houses to the majestic Grote Kerk (Protestant Church), whose tower watches proudly over the city. Every corner of Dordrecht tells a story. The monuments, narrow cobblestone streets, and hidden courtyards carry the weight of centuries, while local traditions bring the city gently to life.
