Just a fantastic place to stay. The location is serene and the facilities impeccable. The staff were extremely pleasant and nothing was to much trouble. Breakfast was lovely. Would have stayed longer if I could. Very comfortable rooms and great Wi-Fi.

We have traveled a lot and must admit this is the best breakfast we ever had - eggs were done in many different ways, there were even cooked meals such as beans, you could choose from fish to sweet part (pancakes). Fruit and coffee was everywhere. Family room we stayed in is very comfortable and spatious. We liked the underfloor heating in the toilet. Kids enjoyed table football in the lobby. Personel at the hotel were very polite and helpful (we had some issues with Dyrepark tickets so they assisted us with these), but also in the overall. We will definetly stay again here.

Very pleasant and functional hotel room which excellently serves it's purpose of accommodating various sorts of guests in this beautiful city. Room was bigger than average with a large single bed almost the size of a twin-bed. Very inteligently composed, well-equiped and definitely so relaxing. Large windows in my room, in one of upper floors, gave me enough natural light. I was also impresed the way this quarter was so decent, quite visited but peaceful at nights. Also elegant in a very old fashioned manner. Everything in acomodation was clean and bed was super comfortable. All of neighborhood is very charming and welcoming to a guest, even though it's quite large and in a very city center. Breakfast was with enough options and plentiful. Alttough hotel is for every recommendation hotel staff is, at least that is my opinion as a frequent traveler who visited more than 40 countries wordwide, up to the task and equallly worthy resource of this hotel. Always very kind, with a sincere smile and ready to serve the guest. Definitely, all of this experience was excellent memory and good value for money.

My phone has no Wi-Fi couldn’t get the code. No front desk. We had to call in long distance to get a hold of someone. A guy was nice enough to help us out. We ate out at the sushi Asian restaurant, I had a refried rice. It was real good. We walked the trails which is hilly but enjoyable looking out at the ocean. We saw a big boat going by. It was a good day, we walked 14,000 steps!

Arendal is a beautiful little coastal town.

Arendal is a beautiful little coastal town. Summer is the best time. Spring in Norway can range from raging blizzard to warm and sunny. I had it all in April / May. The place is teaming with great food too.

I never heard about Mandal before, and I had not prepared...

I never heard about Mandal before, and I had not prepared for our stay well, but I really enjoyed my 2.5-hour walk around the city. We also went to a beach, but just to walk as it was cold that evening. Certainly worth better preparation if you want to combine sightseeing and hiking in one place.

Due to a snow storm we were unable to make it to the boat in Kristansand and this was our luck. We were able to add 2 more bonus days to our holiday at the last minute. And a bonus was the stay at the very friendly hospitable hotel Lillesand for sure. Stayed 2 nights in the suite in the quaint, kest-decorated picturesque village of Lillesand. Highly recommended.

I was only there for a couple of days as a layover onto my...

I was only there for a couple of days as a layover onto my next stop. I wanted to hike the lumber site. I highly recommend taking the trip north to this area. The views were amazing, and it was a pleasant hike and easy for all ages.

Mandal is the most beautiful summer city in Norway. Long beautiful beaches, rich culture (famous Norwegian artists like Gustav Vigeland were born here) and a pitoresque old town with white wooden houses.

Kunstsilo is one of the world's great art venues. The food there was good but not exceptional. While the city itself is OK and has some pleasant areas some of the smaller towns further north are more picturesque.
