I booked a family room all to myself and that was one of the best places I’ve ever been at. It was almost a studio, clean and comfortable, even with a balcony and a very nicely decorated bathroom (I loved its wall and floor tiles!). The kitchenette was well equipped with fridge, stove top, microwave, electric kettle and coffee machine, and I was provided with a big basket full of kitchenware and cleaning products. Breakfast was varied with a wide offer of both hot and cold options, which was perfect for a good day start. Location is central and the area is served my several bus lines and even the tram to the forest. And last but not least: free coffee and cookies were available in the lobby all the time. The receptionists I met were all very nice and friendly.

I was very satisfied with accommodation, I came to Trondheim by plane and took bus from there, the bus stop was very closed to the hotel, to get in to the hotel and room was by codes so flexible hours for check in ... the location is absolutely great - in the middle of the city so everything was closed by walking around, room was simple but enough for two nights stay ... I really recommend this hotel during staying in Trondheim - its a very nice city and nice to visit there - nice things to see during day time and night life is very active with clubs and restaurants ...

Rarely on our travels we met a breakfast you could eat a whole week of. Literally everything you could wish for was there. Several kinds of egg, all of excellent level, accompanied by the best bacon/sausage. Huge variety of meat/cheese/fish. Hot and cold vegetables. Glutenfree options. Fruit in many ways (sliced, smoothie, juice). There were even lemon and ginger shots. It's all a lot, but it was still sorted out very delicate. The room itself had a fantastic shower and a beautiful view towards the train station with the fjord behind it. The staff was very friendly.

An unexpected flat tyre discovered just before departure messed up our plan. We were a bit lost, being foreigners in an unfamiliar location. Nina, the extremely kind hotel staff helped locate a garage and drove me and the removed flat tyre to the garage. She even waited to drive me and the tyre back to the hotel. So we could quickly get onto our journey again. A frustrating morning turned into an unforgettably positive experience by a nice lady from the property management.

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. We asked a lot of questions (about the city or for help with our comfort) and each time received incredibly helpful answers and wonderful conversation. The breakfast buffet is excellent, incredibly tasty and filling for everyone. The hotel itself is very spacious and clean. There's also a luggage room.

The place is beautiful.

The place is beautiful. If you can, rather book a hotel or backpackers hostels. My experience of booking an apartment was terrible. So if travelling for a big event, book well in advance, and book hotels!

Everything is great — both the nature around the city and...

Everything is great — both the nature around the city and the city itself are beautiful. My main piece of advice would be to visit Egon Tårnet — a restaurant located in a tower with stunning views of the city and the fjord. The tower slowly rotates about 360° per hour, so you get to see the entire city while you dine. The food is excellent as well. People everywhere speak English, so getting help or service in English is no problem. The only downside is the prices — they can be quite high.

This is a great city. One of Norway's largest in fact.

This is a great city. One of Norway's largest in fact. We took a bike tour and learned about it. The city houses the Norwegian Rock and Roll Hall of fame museum which was fun to check out. We had an AMAZING dinner at Kalas and Canasta. Couldn't recommend any higher. The staff and food was chef's kiss. There is live music around the city and super walkable. We got lucky with the weather. It was roughly 78 and sunny when we were there.
