PolandA beautiful quiet place. The staff was really nice, it was possible to have a bike for the stay. I could sleep well and comfortable. The place is quite separated from the city, which gives a relaxing feeling. I strongly recommend! I travelled through the whole Oslofjorden and this was a good base, I came everywhere with train.

Nice hotel and spa resort, perfect for those who want nature and a quiet atmosphere.
The spa has separate zones for men and women, with both sauna and steam room. The swimming pool is quite cool (around 20°C), which is refreshing after a sauna. There’s also a relaxation area and a jacuzzi. We visited during the low season, so it felt very private and peaceful.
Breakfast is Norwegian-style, with a variety of toppings (pålegg), scrambled eggs, fried eggs with bacon, red bean soup, sausages, vegetables, yogurt, and fruit.
Good outdoor, playground and tennis court, but we didn’t try coz bad weather.

This place is lovely! I was a bit afraid of how my family members would feel about a shared toilet but it was really ok and Magasinet turned out to be our favourite sleeping place on our roadtrip. It was also the cheapest! Great location and we liked the atmosphere of the brick house and the island too.

This was my first time in Fredrikstad and my stay was for business travel. The area is friendly, has modern charm, and had plenty of shops and restaurants to explore. I hope to return again and stay longer on a personal schedule with my wife to enjoy more of the area.

Halden is a magical hidden gem in Norway. It has the best of all worlds. Ancient ruins, castle walls, cobblestone streets, canals, mountains, forests and wildflowers the size of skyscrapers! Not to mention the raggar culture! Halden... a hidden gem

The location of the hotel is located in walking distance from many resturants in the middle of thr city. The hotel has reserved parkingspots included in the stay. The room is big and the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast is exelent and the staff is wonderful. I give it 10 out of10.

It is a great place to visit during the summer, with lots of people in town and at the restaurants by the pier promenade. The city center is quite compact, so you can walk from the railway station in one end, to the football stadium in the other end, in about 25 minutes. The city is by the ocean, so there are a lot of beaches and places to swim just outside the city proper. The nightlife is quite good too, especially during weekends.
