From front to back, our experience was exceptional. Despite the fact that some areas of the property are still undergoing conceptual changes or updates, we couldn't have asked for any more. The service, the food (and the wine pairings!), and the rooms were all top notch. The property has such a rich history, it's really worth putting on your list if you're in Norway.

The best staff I've met at the hotel lately. It was Saturday and we decided to sleep longer . We overslept breakfast. When we came down, breakfast was over. Nevertheless, the staff kindly served breakfast.

2nd time in this hotel, I came back for the location, food & friendly staff. Again was pleasantly surprised like the 1st time! The hotel is such an overlooked gem with the Fredriksten fort right next door.

The location was close to the town center and close to everything. The staff was extremely friendly and supportive. The breakfast included all from cereal to cooked breakfast.

It’s built in 1767. Couldn’t be better. Wonderful view and displayed very famous artists like munch’s. Definitely visit again someday.

My stay was very enjoyable. The room was spacious with amazing views, and the dinner options were both spectacular and generally healthy. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the gym facilities were decent. While I would have appreciated a location closer to the train station, the central spot was convenient overall.
