Location in Røldal, easy walk to town center, quiet area and great facilities. Big plus is onsite bakery (absolutely wonderful cinnamon rolls and bread rolls!) and an Iron age exhibition inside a historically significant barn! Fishing and hiking nearby. Beautiful wooden church with exquisite interior in town.
Great lodge, fully equipped with TV, cooker, fridge & utensils. Location is superb, next to a river & fjord. Cafe (great food) and supermarket near the site.

Røldal is a small and a beautiful town.
Røldal is a small and a beautiful town. Nice walk in the nature also the views are fantastic. We did not explore the local food there because we are vegetarian. But tried coffee and Bakari. It was nice.
You can see some good waterfall and steep mountains around the town and good water bodies. We did not swim but I think there are some places you can go swimming also saw some people kayaking.
Folgefonna glacier is approximately one and half hour drive from the town. Given a chance you must go. It is just awesome.
