ChinaIf you come to Senja, you must stay here! The room is very cozy, comfortable and clean, well-equipped and very warm. There is a parking space, which is very convenient. The owner responded promptly and the instructions were very clear. In the yard is a very good location to watch and photograph the aurora. We were very lucky to catch the aurora explosion, which was very shocking. It is very cold at night in winter, and you can go back to the house to warm up immediately after watching the aurora. The view is very good, and the scenery on the other side of the window is also very good. It takes ten minutes to walk to the seaside. It is a quiet and comfortable town. It takes about half an hour to drive to Hasten/Segla and hike, and about 50 minutes to the viewing point along the way to Senja Island, but the scenery on the road is very good and the location is very convenient.

The cabin was a suitable choice for our family (2 adults, 2 teenagers). The location is nice and easy to find. The cabin was clean and seemed to be quite newly renovated. We didn’t use the shower, but it was nice to have a toilet in the cabin. The bunk beds were comfortable (two narrower and two a bit more wide).

Check-in was seamless despite it being a day off. The house is very cozy, with a perfect location, on the harbor. Very beautiful view from the living room. Highly recommend.

Nice place for a short stay.
Nice place for a short stay. Without a car you run out of options quickly. Smaller hiking trips and ski tours possible in the valley. Northern lights possible when there is no midnight sun. No supermarket in the village.

A nice area to visit and so different from many places in Norway. The countryside is so different from part to parts on the island of Senja. The same with the local people, more quiet at the inner part/Eastern side of the island. Then more outspoken and louder when to speak to the ones on the Western side of the island.
Great place to visit if you are to lock for the Aurora Borealis, and also close to Tromsoe. Either by a car or just for a day-trip with different boats.

If you are looking for somewhere special to stay with a cozy cabin and good food, to be close to nature and surrounded with lovely people, then you couldn’t choose a better place.

Torsken is beautifully situated, but the road there is...
Torsken is beautifully situated, but the road there is terrible and ends in the village. When visiting other parts of Senja, you have to drive back and forth over the mountain on the poor road. Nevertheless, Torsken is definitely worth a visit, and the quality of the facilities offered by Senja by Heart is high.

The cabin we stayed in was roomy, wonderfully provisioned, and exceptionally clean. The restaurant offers a full-selection breakfast buffet and a full-service dinner that includes a selection of regional fish deliciously prepared. The village is quaint and charming and has several local, short hikes that are walking distance from the hotel. We loved everything about our stay and hope to return someday to see the Northern Lights!

Mefjordvaer is absolutely beautiful, and within short drives...
Mefjordvaer is absolutely beautiful, and within short drives (< 1 hour on narrow winding roads) of many other beautiful places. We stayed for two days but if you like the outdoors there would be enough activity options for a week or more.
