Hospitality, food, facilities… basically everything. We stayed short but it really made our trip. Looking forward to coming back

Located in Østby, this hotel is a 20-minute drive from the ski slopes of Trysilfjellet. The Swedish border is 19 km away, and airport Scandinavian Mountains is also a 20 minutes’ drive.

We had an issue arriving late and the hosts made sure to accommodate us knowing we were already stressed. The room was beautiful and we sank into the comfy beds for a perfect nights sleep. Breakfast in the morning was a haven - the pictures don’t do it justice how beautiful that room is.

Skistar Lodge Trysil is located 800 Meters above sea level in Fageråsen,Trysil. Norway’s largest Ski Resort. Trysil are also a well-known bicycling area during summer.

The location is close to the ski lifts (5 min driving to the car park, near the ski lift T2), the room was big enough to accomodate a couple, also the room was spotless and well-maintained, equipped with a mini fridge. The bed, pillows, and seating areas were comfortable. The Wi-Fi was fast, with excellent connection. The large-screen TV in our room featured an additional option to connect your phone or tablet via Chromecast, so we had access to a wide variety of programs online, allowing us to enjoy our preferred content. That is a massive plus, I would say, for people spending most of the evening in their room (not so many outdoor attractions in Trysil, after nightfall, unfortunately). The breakfast was a buffet style, with something for every taste. It was neatly arranged, and everything was kept clean. It was a great stay and the staff were very friendly. We intend to return at this hotel in the near future.
