United Arab EmiratesDora was an excellent host with on time information and checking for everything. that we would need for our stay, The big window to watch the sheep and Alpacas was amazing , refreshing and very relaxing. We even got some snacks to feed to Alpacas along with a lovely dog to play with. The accommodation was very good , clean , spacious, well designed & maintained.

Beautiful place to stay in between the mountains in the castle hill area. Was much fun as there was a quiz with some locals. Other tourists and me where able to compete too and it made the night. Good kitchen, good bar. Had a great stay!

Very relaxing area with many outdoor activities to do.
Very relaxing area with many outdoor activities to do. Great for families to walk around Castle Hill around the rock formations or fishing along the rivers and plenty of different walks around the amazing areas. There were mountain biking trails up Porters with the team at Porter's lodge able to drive you back up to the top of the trails.
Definitely keen to get back over to explore some more.

Arthur’s Pass offers absolutely beautiful scenery,...
Arthur’s Pass offers absolutely beautiful scenery, especially along the drive—it’s one of those places where you’ll want to stop often just to take it all in. It’s definitely worth getting out of the car and exploring, with plenty of walking trails that showcase the stunning alpine landscape.
A must-see stop is Castle Hill Rocks, which is truly unique and well worth the visit. The rock formations are incredible and make for a memorable experience. The Cave Stream walk is another highlight—an adventurous and fun experience for those prepared to get a little wet. There are also great Arthur’s Pass walking tracks that cater to different fitness levels, making it easy for everyone to enjoy the area.
Highly recommend allowing extra time to explore this region properly.

Iconic historical building in an iconic location. The rooms are furnished period appropriate, the restaurant contains a collection of historical curios. The couple running it is very friendly and approachable. The food is hearty kiwi home style cooking.

Beautiful scenic retreat, with waterfall and true NZ country vibe. Unfortunately, I saw the host yelling at a guest who arrived at night, for asking where the kitchen was located. I felt surprised, because the host was polite to me. I would still recommend that you stay here, but maybe just read the provided map if you're arriving at night!

Perfect for the time in transit.
Perfect for the time in transit. Unfortunately it rained and Devil’s Punchbowl was closed when we went! If more time, we would have loved to do more hiking! However we were lucky to see some Kea birds!

Small village with limited options for food and groceries. If you like walking/ hiking and scenery, you'll love it. We brought supplies and cooked ourselves one night and had a good meal at The Bealey Hotel ( 10mins drive) the other.
