- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 123 reviewsOwners were super lovely and helped return an item I left on the island asap! They picked us up from the ferry and had a courtesy car we could hire during our stay which was invaluable. Cabins are fairly close to each other but private enough we could enjoy our stay. Had washer and dryer available if needed.Guest review byBerryNew Zealand

Our bags were collected at the ferry and taken to our unit so we could get to our tour on time. The township of Oban is the place to find out most info, access e-bikes and get details of walks, kiwis, trips to places such as Ulva Island. It’s the central township for the island. Glad it has a four square, friendly people at the Doc site. Butterfield Bay is gorgeous.Guest review byDenise TimsNew Zealand - 10.0
Great place. I would have liked more time to do more walks.
Great place. I would have liked more time to do more walks. We stayed 2 nights - just enough to do a kiwi experience and visit Ulva Island. We were unlucky with no Kiwi sightings. But the longer walks would have green goid to do if we had more time.Guest review byNellyHUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We loved Stewart Island and our travel by ferry to Half Moon Bay. We ate several meals at South Sea Restaurant. Delicious! Several walks, beaches and sights were within easy walking distance. We took a taxi from our accommodations to Golden Bay for our Beaks and Feathers Tour to Ulva Island which we would highly recommend. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the island, the birds and trees.Guest review byConnieUnited States
