Absolutely stunning views. It's like being in paradise! You'll find yourself immersed in pure greenery surrounded by a never-ending symphony of birds singing in the background. The furry hosts (two dogs and a cat) were a plus! Everything is clean, beautiful and makes you feel like you are in heaven. The breakfast was very yummy too! Our room has a very private and big terrace with a table, two comfy rocking chairs and a hammock. The bed was extremely comfortable and there's a fan in the ceiling in case it gets hot (we didn't use it.)

Absolutely everything. Attention to details here is amaizing. Staff is amaizing (Cesar thank you so much you made it even more amaizing). Everything is super clean, pool was cool, garden is so peacefull and omg the food was so much more than what we would have expected. We ended up having dinner 2 nights there on top of the breakfast and would come back anytime for the food :) Definitely recomend this place to everyone and we would definitely come back.

Relaxed and felt part of the natural environment. The staff were amazing and always happy to help out. Having the bikes for exploring was fun and allowed to see things more slowly than the car. The hotel was very well situated in the town and for hikes around the old crater too. Food was thoughtful, well presented and always good.

I loved the front desk staff... They made me feel at home. Beds were super comfortable. They had warm water, I got a nice main street view from my window and the place was clean and very well kept. Hotel location is excellent. A strip mall and a couple of restaurants are really close to it. I definitely will stay there whenever I go to Penonomé again.

The resort is gorgeous with lots of trees, beautiful pools, staff is very friendly working hard to accommodate everyone. The ocean front room was big and beautiful with perfect view, water slides were a definite plus, food and drinks were tasty, the music and atmosphere was party vibes with great sense of humor. Entertainment nights were awesome, diversified, captivating, interactive, great dancers, gymnasts, magicians. Entertainment was great. Lifeguards were paying lots of attention when the sea was rough to keep everyone safe. Same by the pools & water slides. Many theme restaurants to chose from, lots of breakfast and lunch locations. Overall a great experience. But what I mostly liked is the open air concept of all the restaurants, bars, lobby with local decoration and music. Not the stainless steel / AC kind of building (spaces) that you can find anywhere. Low buildings among trees, gorgeous pools, you hear the birds all the time, nice walks to some of the restaurants to get your legs moving after so much eating.

Las Catelinas is a wonderful place to stay in the charming quiet town of Anton. The location is peaceful, offering an escape from the big cities. If you want to be in the city a lot just know that it will...

If you want to be in the city a lot just know that it will cost you a long drive and quite a few dollars with the traveler company on the compound. They are very accommodating and nice but the pricing for the transportation is kind of expensive. If you're a few minutes past your reservation then you will not get any meal cuz once it closes off it's bye-bye for you and you would have to visit the buffet restaurant which the food is not that nice to me. The stuff was very inclusive and entertaining and the night time shows were very fun. Another thing I did not like was one of the restaurants did not allow you too leave with the plates even if you wanted to eat by the poolside I guess that helps with keeping the poolside rid off certain food stuff and clean but best believe that there will be Birds over your head stealing and shitting as they please and you can't hit them or do anything to them other than shoo them. The gaming arcade gave me a few run around but it was eventually good in the end.

There is not much going on in the town.

There is not much going on in the town. There are lots of hiking options and you can rent a bike if you like. We were content just hang out at our Airbnb soaking in the views from the side of the mountain and relaxing after being in Panama City for a few days. It is very warm and humid so we savored the mountainside breezes.

El Valle is a lush valley in de Anton mountain.

El Valle is a lush valley in de Anton mountain. The birds and vegetation were abundant. The people are all friendly and accommodating. If you have the time, add El Valle de Anton to your itinerary. The roads in and out of town are steep switch backs. Avoid using the buses to enter and leave. The drivers seem to think they are on a timed event!

Pool and beach was fantastic.

Pool and beach was fantastic. The super 99 store had everything we needed 3 kilometers from the resort. Rio Hato itself is not much of a town however who cares the Playa Blanca resort was the reason to be there. By the way the extended electric carts would stop and take you around with no charge. Drivers were very informative.

This place was the perfect escape for anyone needing to reconnect with nature. The surroundings are incredibly peaceful and helped me fully unwind. I loved spending time outdoors just soaking in the quiet atmosphere. It is truly the ideal spot if you want to recharge and forget about your daily stress. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

The area is small and pretty. Friendly people but the towns people have been barraged with too many tourists. There was a lot to do if you like hiking and looking at waterfalls. We didn't have the time.

Decameron where I stayed was the worst . Paid for plus and they gave me the worst room , with no view. They dont change their sheets, and everything has lowered their standards. Extremely disappointed

Great little town with plenty of restaurants and shops to...

Great little town with plenty of restaurants and shops to choose from. Plenty of hiking trails and beautiful mountain scenery. Area felt very safe to be in. There are plenty of taxis in the area . Not needed if your staying and doing things in town but if you don't have a car its quicker to the trailheads. Should absolutely hike La India Dormida . Also a neat little zoo to check out .

We stayed at Town Center Suites within the Playa Blanca...

We stayed at Town Center Suites within the Playa Blanca resort community and it was uncrowded, with multiplicity of swimming pools. We especially cherished the giant saltwater swimming pool where guests can freely use the comfy chaise lounges under the umbrellas.
