CanadaThe view from the garden suite is perfect. We didn’t regret not booking the mountain view suite because you can see mountains from all sides. The experience of staying in the shipping containers was so fun, but do note that there are heavy winds at night so bring ear plugs. The staff were so wonderful, very friendly and helped us organize a waterfall hike and drive down to the town. We loved eating at the restaurant Las Nubes close by and it was convenient to have breakfast there. Very peaceful experience and nice to have a bathroom attached, although expect a bit of dirt on the floor of the room. The complementary coffee was a nice touch to enjoy from the balcony with a view.

This was far more authentic and relaxed than the bigger resorts down the beach. The restaurant on site was delicious. It’s also an easy 20 minute walk along the beach to other beach restaurants to try out other spots. The host Tony was so helpful and kind. As a family with a 10 year old and a 7 year old it was ideal, plenty to do and very safe. The kids rotated from beach to swimming pool, to basketball, ping pong, and the pool table.

This is a luxurious “ Hostal” I ever stayed.. my room had a very good air conditioning and a fantastic view… ( it was located upstairs) the administration allow me to stay in the room 6 hours after checking in , without extra charge (due to a festival that was taking place in the area and I couldn’t take my car away) I was extremely grateful for that.. they always have someone in location in case of help during the night. My bed was very comfortable and the bathroom look brand new.. I was very pleased.

Staff is very friendly and responsive, food is good and abundant, rooms are clean. There is entertainment every single day that we did not like. We noticed that other guests also looked for silence. It would be fair to entertain guests every other day, in our opinion.

Interesting place, with many expats, though we saw few since it was Christmas. Some nice restaurants. We drove around and saw both simple and very nice homes. A longer stay would have allowed us to experience more of the events that we read about.

Pool and beach was fantastic.
Pool and beach was fantastic. The super 99 store had everything we needed 3 kilometers from the resort. Rio Hato itself is not much of a town however who cares the Playa Blanca resort was the reason to be there. By the way the extended electric carts would stop and take you around with no charge. Drivers were very informative.

The area is small and pretty. Friendly people but the towns people have been barraged with too many tourists. There was a lot to do if you like hiking and looking at waterfalls. We didn't have the time.

This is a rural and rustic property.
This is a rural and rustic property. There is a short walk to the creek and a great swimming hole but also a pool if you don't want to swim in the creek. Very nice setting. Rooms are rustic but nice. AC in rooms is nice to have if needed depending on the season. The food was great and the staff were very nice and helpful

El Valle is a lush valley in de Anton mountain.
El Valle is a lush valley in de Anton mountain. The birds and vegetation were abundant. The people are all friendly and accommodating. If you have the time, add El Valle de Anton to your itinerary. The roads in and out of town are steep switch backs. Avoid using the buses to enter and leave. The drivers seem to think they are on a timed event!

Excellent round trip airport experience to the amazing resort, delicious food, beautiful beaches, and stunning sites, Panama and its people are A+. Highlight of my trip? Watching the sunrise over Playa Blanca, feeding the monkeys, and sightseeing the old city. Simply unforgettable.
Recommend adding fans to buffet.

Beautiful Valley.
Beautiful Valley. Food isn't great and there aren't alot of options for breakfast but if you're not in a rush and okay with taking it slow, El Valle is lovely. Great place for hikes and taking it easy!

We stayed at Town Center Suites within the Playa Blanca...
We stayed at Town Center Suites within the Playa Blanca resort community and it was uncrowded, with multiplicity of swimming pools. We especially cherished the giant saltwater swimming pool where guests can freely use the comfy chaise lounges under the umbrellas.

El Valle is really green with lots of gardens and flowers unfortunately it was still the rainy season so some of the hikes were not a good idea to hike alone
The local craft beer pub restaurant was fantastic and so was the Italian restaurant in the centre of town
