Living in the heart of a national park is always a fun. The room was very spacious and clean, the beds are perfect. But the most amazing part of the stay is the nature itself. We took several tours to sloths and monkeys, highly recommend. I regret we couldn't stay longer.

Wow, what an amazing hotel right in front of the ocean. The view from our room (small double room) and from the pool was stunnig, you could overlook the ocean. The hotel and the pool are perfect for relaxing. The garden of the hotel felt like paradise, a lot of plants and there are also monkeys in the trees and a lot of colibris. And last but not least: the owners are so friendly and helpful. The host drove us und our baggage to the marina the next day, thank you for that! We were super sad that we could only stay one night and would have loved to stay longer!

Great location right on the beach. We snorkelled right outside the hotel and saw a lot of colourful fish. The owners were really nice people and super helpful they went above and beyond. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean and the AC was very cold. The food there was also really good and the restaurant staff were very friendly.

The staff, including the owners, were exceptionally kind, friendly and accommodating. My friend needed a fridge for his medication and it was provided immediately. The food was freshly prepared and delicious. The location by the water was quiet. peaceful and breezy and plus it wasn't too far from Portobello proper.

Amazing!!!! We loved this place, peaceful, natural, many animals around, fantastic!! Sebastien has so many tips, made our stay unforgettable, we could join Jungle and Beach for our 2 last days in Panamá, just perfect! Would have love to stay longer to see more!! And have to say that going into the Jungle with Pascal was amazing, such an incredible feeling to go through this nature and felt really safe with Pascal!

Given its location, 'downtown' Colón should be in far better shape than it is. I would not recommend visiting unless there is a specific reason to do so (i.e. boarding/disembarking from a cruise ship. But to be fair, the folks I encountered were generally friendly and that counts for a lot. :)

Gamboa is a beautiful and unique place in Panama.

Gamboa is a beautiful and unique place in Panama. It is located in the 2nd largest rainforest in the world, which is in and of itself a great reason to visit. Gamboa is also located between Panama City and Colon, two tourist attractions with tons of rich history tied to the Panama Canal. There's beautiful nature all around, including the Soberania National Park, Chagres River and manmade Gatun Lake. Of course, the Panama Canal is a major attraction, and Gamboa gives a unique view of this world wonder. If you're traveling with children, there are several family friendly hikes with waterfalls and lots of wildlife. Our family of 5 (including a 6 year old, 3 year old and 1 year old) got to see (and hear) a family of howler monkeys, an active sloth, several coatis, iguanas, agoutis, unique birds and beautiful blue butterflies on a midday nature hike. We also enjoyed snacks by a beautiful waterfall, which was a memorable experience for the whole family. Gamboa is definitely worth at least a day trip, if not a weekend getaway if you're in Panama City or Colon.

Portobelo is a town full of fascinating history, but you will have a hard time finding information about it! There are a few placards in the centre of town, but you will have to ask the guards to open the doors to the museum, which you could walk right by without knowing it is there. If you are interested in learning about the town, I highly recommend you go visit Francesco who owns the pizza restaurant on the harbour near the town entrance. He can also take you on a day trip outside of town to see the mangroves and forest. Plus his pizza is delicious!

The view from the room was great. The beach was dirty and the pool was to cold, could not enjoy it because of it. The building was clean and the room was nice as well. Clean the beach area and warm the pool water.it would be a much better experience.

I made a mistake.

I made a mistake. My previous 7 on the rating for internet was not correct. I didn't see it, but the property listing showed NO INTERNET. But I was in a big hurry to make the booking and missed it. Also I booked it for my associate, but once he arrived, and discovered the no internet and that cash only was the payment method he had to regroup and find another place with internet and credit card pay options. Please I beg you to just delete my original feed back form because we did not stay there. It was my fault for not seeing the NO INTERNET shown on the listing. It is not fair or damage the property and owner for my mistake. Please let me know you can do this please.

It should be called Isla Grande de Basura.

It should be called Isla Grande de Basura. It's off-putting to have breakfast on the wharf and watch the trash float by. The "beach" & sidewalk that goes the length of the island is lined with trash: cans, bottles, styrofoam, paper wrappers, candy wrappers, etc. Making the slightest request of the Cocotal staff was met with a glance of contempt. The room had only one chair, no table, the shower was nothing more than a dribble; and there was no hot water. Everyone on the island seems to be hard of hearing as the ghetto blasters were at full volume. The parking over on the mainland is run by extortionists. We agreed to pay for two nights parking, when we went to pick up our van they insisted that we pay for a third night and they locked us in the parking area until we called the police!

I booked a room at the Andres Hotel, mainly because of a train ride. I was thinking of going for one day from PANAMA CITY to Colon, by train with the Panama Canal Train. Unfortunately, I found out that this train is inactive since the Corona. If the train ride is not yet available, Or if you are not going to visit around Colon, and are not interested in the duty free zone, then you can skip Colon. I was warned by the locals, to be careful If you decide to visit Colon, stay at the ANDRES Hotel

We rented mountain bikes from Gamboa Bikes for the days we were in Gamboa. This gave us the flexibility to bike both the Pipeline and Plantation Roads, both of which were wonderful for both hiking and biking (although the Pipeline Rd was a bit bumpier).

Portobellos has so much potential, it is both a cultural hub and adventure hub of Panama. It is a pity that the government does not take the steps necessary to keep the streets, beaches, and public areas clean and trash-free.

Many of the restaurants and hotels on the island was closed when we were there (around christmas). Also it was very much trash on the street and everywhere around the hotel. We went there with the intention to surf a bit but there was no board rentals and the break did not look good at all. The beach was very nice but a lot of trash as soon as you left the hotel areas. One night or a day trip would have been enough. The restaurant La Isla was amazing, fast service, great food, nice location.
