United StatesI loved everything about my stay. Lucia and her husband are the sweetest people ever with the biggest hearts. Lucia shared a wealth of information regarding the island, the history, and the wonderful shops and restaurants in town. I had eggs from their chickens, the best honey ever from their bees, fresh bread daily, various fruits from their garden, and so much more. The house is so beautiful, comfy, and cozy.. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to hike and explore the countryside as I planned because of the extensive rain, so I was so glad I was in a place I truly enjoyed being. I wish I had booked more days there but will definitely return.

Rosário welcomed us and explained everything about the studio. It was as described, had a big balcony, everything we needed and more in the kitchen and even a washing machine we could use (which we're very grateful for). Since Faial is a small island and we rented a car, it was convenient to stay there - it has free parking in the yard, close to the biggest grocery store on the island, restaurants, marina.. We don't know what it's like during the summer, but it was perfect for 4 nights in November. We'd stay here again if we return to Faial!

Vonda was very kind and welcoming. The place was spotless and my room on the 3rd floor was perfect. The breakfast downstairs in the Pastelaria was delicious and sufficient~ a freshly squeezed o.j, coffee and pastry of your choice and a sandwich of cheese, ham or mixed. It’s located in a safe neighborhood close to a sweet community park, walking distance to the ferry, and a 10-15 min walk to the harbor. It was quiet and other guests were quiet and respectful. I recommend Horta Garden to other travelers.

I like the property a lot. It’s a gorgeous place, I highly recommend everyone to stay here.
It’s a beautiful farm where you will live with the nature, wake up and go sleep with birds 🐦 have breakfast with a farm and domestic food 🤤 Ana and while staff is so kind and helpful.
Thank you a lot with the opportunity to stay with dog, for helping with the car rent and helping and keeping in touch when our flight was rescheduled.

Beautiful 3-bedroom apartment in an exciting location with views of Porto Pim Bay. Convenient to walk into town and to various activities and restaurants. Comfortable living space and bedrooms. Excellent kitchen and bathrooms. Very responsive booking office and onsite staff, always proactive and ready to help with anything we needed. Wifi and TV were great. We loved our stay and highly recommend this apartment.

Loved having a parking space and a washing machine! The outdoor space was absolutely wonderful - EVERY meal outside! The architecture is just beautiful. Very quiet area! Our flight was cancelled/re-scheduled and the host was very understanding and arranged for the house to be available at the new arranged time.

The boulevard along the harbour offers beautiful views...
The boulevard along the harbour offers beautiful views towards Pico island. The town is rather small but offers all the basics. The people are are friendly. It's not so suitable for shopping and to really appreciate it you should walk around a lot and also explore the nature around the town. Public transport is available though rather limited.

My stay there was great, I especially appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of the host. The place is perfect if you have to catch a morning flight since it is just opposite the airport, also bus station is just across the street. However, it is not very easily accessible from Horta if you don't have your car; the public transport by bus is limited on weekends, even during the week the bus rides only few times a day, Besides one restaurant 1km away, there are also no other places to eat nearby. But the nature around is amazing and place is very nice, the rooms very comfortable and clean and breakfast is good.

Loved that the host provided some basic supplies - coffee, milk, fresh eggs, homemade jam, olive oil. The hot water was plentiful. It was great to have a washing machine. But the view is the best selling point!

Horta is a fabulous town, friendly people, nice restaurants and pedarias and shops in and around the Main Street
Our favorite place to eat was a fab resteraunt overlooking the ocean Praia do a Almoxarife. Lovely harbor with interesting paintings from passing sailors.
Porto Pim Beach close by.
Probably best to get a hire car to see all the lovely spots around the island (quite expensive) although the local buses are pretty good too. Plenty of walking/hiking trails especially the walk around the rim of Caldeira e Capelinhos. Lots of amazing view points and botanical gardens

We loved Varadouro.
We loved Varadouro. We stayed for 2 nights but could have stayed longer to relax by the pools and swimming inlet. These swimming areas are located amongst the volcanic rock and are just amazing.
The area is very relaxing, the sea could be heard from our accommodation. We had a hire car, which is needed as the area is remote.
There are a few restaurants and cafes nearby.

We went on a full day tour of Faial with Andre at Visitfaial. This let us see all the sites. Faial is a beautiful island and I wish we had more time there. Horta is more of a town than a city, size wise. It has a big marina and this was buzzing with lots to look at including some big yachts. There are some busy bars and restaurants which are fun to visit although we preferred the quieter ones in Porto Pim Bay Area. Genuino has lots of memorabilia from the owner’s sailing adventures. The tuna steaks were massive. We had a table upstairs at window with lovely views across the bay. Taberna de Pim was also good and we were able to eat outside on the bay.
