Agnes was absolutely amazing! She checked us in and walked us to our room and made us feel like we were at home. There was mango juice to greet us In reception and Agnes make sure that Every need with Met. She recommended places of interest in the area, places to eat, including the restaurant facility at the hotel. Agnes was completely genuine as she asked us how our stay was how comfortable are rooms were, and said she looked forward to seeing us again when we departed from the hotel. meeting Agnes and her warm hospitality was one of the highlights of my traveling through Rwanda.

We stayed here for a total of 20 nights (spread out over a few weeks) and kept coming back to this place for several reasons: - Room and bathroom were very clean, spacious, decorated with style. Matrass is comfy. We felt "at home". Common areas and bathroom are cleaned every day and room on request or every 2 to 3 days. WiFi is really good and hot water as well. - Location is well situated with Dian Fossey museum at +-20' by car/motorbike and on the way to the Volcanoes National Park. We didn't have any car, but other guests did, and they could easily park inside the gate. For lunch, easy access to Migano (26' walk) or Crema (15' walk), or you can ask staff to order for you 😉 For diner, we often had diner at Masha Haven itself (good food, we especially liked the local food!) - But what we appreciated most was the staff, especially Sandra and the manager, Masha, himself. Thank you for the many Uno games ;-) Tip - if you would like some personal drawing / painting from the manager (he is an artist!), ask him well in advance and you'll get a personal souvenir from Rwanda !

This is the best hotel in all of Rwanda. If you want luxury for the price of a budget hotel, this is the place to be. Its hospitality is par excellence, from the entrance where Coco the receptionist greets you warmly and helps you with every problem you have, to the kitchen staff who is extra attentive. The rooms, aren’t really rooms but large cottages with plenty of outdoor space. I was very comfortable as a single person staying in the largest room I have had so far in all my stays in the country. I would always stay here if I come to Musanze, no matter what the budget - this is best value for money one can have with added warmth and comfort. The service is par excellence. I had to trek in the morning at 7, so the hotel staff prepared breakfast - crepes, toast, coffee for me at 6am and kept it ready on a table decorated with flowers. The entire staff - reception, cleaning, restaurant go out out of their way to be hospitable, it seems like second nature to them. I felt cherished and valued as a customer
