This property exceeded our expectations. The location was excellent, the grounds perfectly maintained and secure. The caretaker was always present and extremely helpful while giving our group our space and privacy. We were able to do laundry and hang it to dry, which was very helpful after a long trip through Africa.

The Hotel provided us with one of the best buffet breakfasts one can think of even in Western countries. If you ever have to stay in this hotel please don't forget to take advantage of the breakfast. You will love it! The two ladies in charge of breakfast, Betty and Clementine were very professional, excellent customer service qualities, they were always ready to help and even took time to explain the menu contents to visitors. The Hotel has the best Lunch and Dinner menu you can think of in Kigali, the menu has different varieties and they are not expensive. The room we stayed in had a mountain view, even though it was an old room but it was very clean. They had plans to renovate the room soon. 2000 Hotel is strategically located in Downtown Kigali with easy access to everything you can think of, restaurants, transportation, shops and malls. We want to appreciate Betty and Clementine in the Bamboo restaurant as well as Adeline, Keza, Phiono, Moses and Nancy in the reception for making our 12-day vacation in Kigali a memorable one.

The breakfast and food was excellent and lovely. There were lovely Kenyan Chef's who made the stay so memorable. From wonderful talks to ensuring that we got all we ordered for and requested for. It felt like home. The massage was heavenly indeed. I'm so happy with the East African Resident discount for the massage. The staff was super friendly, from the hotel, the room service and the retreat area. We really enjoyed our stay and felt very comfortable. This is somewhere I will definitely be coming back too, not just for the massage but also for the stay. They have a beautiful view of the city. I had ample parking for my motorbike and it was safe. They have a yoga hall where you can practice, the pool was amazing. Lovely display of artwork that you can buy if you'd like. My brother had come to visit me from United Kingdom and my friend from Greenland they loved it!

The apartment was spacious and attractive with beautiful landscaping and decor. I received a great massage from Hilarie and enjoyed the swimming in the pool. There was plenty of hot water with good water pressure in the shower and generous toiletries in the bathrooms. The balconies had nice views of the pool and the city. The bed and pillows were clean and comfortable. My husband appreciated the air conditioning. The kitchen was clean and spacious with a good sized refrigerator. Simba supermarket was just a short walk up the hill for snacks and drinks. The restaurant next to the swimming pool had nice ambience. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet with fresh fruit, vegetables, baked goods, fresh juices, and omelet bar. The creamy chicken dish and lattes were a pleasant surprise. We would definitely stay here again.

I stayed three days, then extended my stay another three. The food menu is extensive and very good as is the buffet. The hotel is large, very clean ( all areas), staff awesome and attentive. Food and drinks are well priced. The pool is very clean and tended too by a full time pool cleaner. There is a pool bar with a swim up, surrounding pool area has everything you need to enjoy.

Kigali has grown exponentially.... you have to get good...

Kigali has grown exponentially.... you have to get good guidance where to go and what to do. For reclusive people the small boutique hotels are great. It can get busy on the roads but they are working everyday to improve mobility and infrastructure. The night views on clear days are amazing and the city stepped up in festive seasonal decorations Language can be a challenge but most try and keep you going

Incredibly safe and orderly city.

Incredibly safe and orderly city. Aesthetically pleasing scenery. Polite citizens and residents. Interesting culture and emotional history. Getting around is easy. Solo travelers should visit the Art centers, CAG Museum, Genocide Memorial and Fazenda Sengha for adrenaline activities.

Kigali is a clean city, it is safe, and there are a lot of lovely people some who became family in the few days of our stay. I personally loved the rich history outlined and made plain for everyone to understand where Kigali came from, what they experienced and who they are now. One of the things that came out strong for was forgiveness, reconciliation, and love for humankind. That is what i carried back with me, because i met people who lived through genocide, who lost their homes and families... and walking in their shoes for those moments we shared was the ACE that made my stay in Kigali worthwhile.
