La Digue looks like a piece of land falling from heaven. It changes one's mood immediately- calm, fabulous ambiance, stunning beaches, friendly people; it keeps you busy every second;manor jelling, biking, beach exploration, tours around the island and island hopping. Just amazing!
La Digue is a wonderful island. One can walk or bike everywhere---no matter where you look, the view is stunning. Met many friendly people: The coffee shop at the ferry dock became a favorite stop. We enjoyed our conversations with Philip, the proprietor of the shop. He was friendly and full of information. Great coffee and fruit juices. His sister also makes some very good banana and breadfruit chips!
La Digue is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday with lots of beaches to choose from. Cycling is a must, biking is the most common way to explore the island.
La Digue, pound for pound is the jewel of the Seychelles. Guidebooks tell you that only a few days are warranted. Not so. We spent four days, hiked everywhere, and would have gladly stayed four more. Restaurants are limited but if you are a self-caterer you will be happier as the expense of prepared food in the Seychelles is quite high. We chose not to rent bikes and in their absence developed remarkable photos that would have otherwise never have been taken had we been mounted and "speeding" o by. The beaches are extraordinary, in some cases captivating beyond imagination.
Not a good place if you like sea swimming. Inside the reefs the depth was low. La Digue has become commercial and some reviews may describe it as peaceful with Ox Carts or cycles for transportation. There are no ox carts and many large taxis and vans which roar up and own the limited roads so don't expect a peaceful quiet island. Also a degree of hassle by the locals touting for business - hiring of bicyles. A cycle is good for a day to see the island.
Its a wonderful place to stay for your honeymoon or just relaxing on a beach. You will enjoy bicycle rides all over the island. Islanders on La Digue are more open and friendly than other island on Seychelles (except super expensive resorts). And beaches... awesome beaches... Try Grand Anse, Petite Anse or Coco Anse.
Beautiful place to relax and for honeymoon. Much different than Mahé. We had 4 days in La Digue, which was probably sufficient minimum. You can have a bit more time also... We had a bike ride around the island on bikes, which was just amazing! We loved watching sunset from the place next to jetty.
The Island is very beautiful and special to the heart. Grand anse beach, petite anse beach and especially anse coco is a must if you’re on La Digue!! We ate at the pizzeria at Grégoire which if found next the the STC supermarket and it was amazing! Do try the seafood pizza and the spaghetti seafood! Super delicious
La Digue itself - fabulous!! However, the ferry to get there is very expensive, but they know you will pay because there is no other choice. I would highly advise a minimum stay of 4 days to make it worth the cost & time to get there.
Paradise. The beach near Relax Lounge is very peacefull and nice. Patatran Hotel restaurant, Fish trap and Italian reastaurant are the best places to eat. La Digue is too small to get lost anywhere. Tortoise park is one of the funniest activities for the kids.
La Digue
Our stay here was the best of our whole travel! Thank you so much for your kindness, we really enjoyed everything: the beautiful place, the delicious breakfast, the cosy room, the fantastic terrace and also the bicycles. You were always there for us and made our stay to an awesome time at la digue that we will never forget! And you made it even possible that we coule stay one more night :) When we Côme back to Seychelles, we will absolutest come back to you and enjoy a great time again! We look forward to meet you again :)
La Digue
This property is so amazing. I made the mistake of only booking one night here, and the rest were at a hotel up the road. I spent twice as much at the hotel and this bungalow was way more comfortable and easy going! So clean, charming, relaxed, with welcome drinks and a tasty breakfast, good WiFi and a comfortable bed! The location was great, and having a bike rental on site was really convenient. I can’t recommend this place enough. When I return to La Digue I will definitely stay here!
We spent three nights in this hotel. It is well located in the north of La Digue, not far from the jetty terminal. All the staff was nice and friendly. We had a Junior suite with an amazing bathroom We felt very well in the room and we did not want to leave. The food at the restaurant was also very good (international and Creole food) with a large choice of food. Good Breakfast as well! Last thing, the pool bar is most probably one of the best spot in La Digue to watch the Sunset !!
La Digue
Beautiful and huge Villa, nice location. You feel there like a king. The highlight of our stay was having Barbara caring about us. Not only she could organize anything we wanted: hiking, snorkeling boat trip, ride to Belle Vue Restoran on top of the mountain, she also cooked amazing dinners for us - every day different, and always delicious! Better (and far less expensive) than in any restaurants we tried on Seychelles (we were on Mahe, Praslin, La Digue).
La Digue
The room was not the biggest one, but overall you get a perfect service and the best breakfast of the Seychelles! A big plus point: The owner is pretty easy and open, we asked for a earlyier checking and late check out and both was possible. We enjoyed our vacation on La Digue. The landlord offers bicycles for 100 SR per day and manages all for you. You have climate control and a safe in the room. You can even take a shower outside to get rid of the sand.
La Réunion
Absolutely incredible property! We loved the apartment and it felt like a home away from home. Every little detail was thought out, the design is beautiful and practical and we absolutely recommend everyone going to La Digue to book it! The property has five villas with a pool in the middle, and a beautiful garden filled with beautiful art pieces and flowers. The staff was extremely nice and welcoming. We just fell in love with this place!
La Digue
We really liked our upper level room with balcony. We enjoyed it a lot sitting there and just relaxing. The breakfast was extraordinary and honestly the best we had on the Seychelles. Avocado, eggs, bread, jam, fruits and every day something small special. All our wishes were heard and realized! The next time we are on La Digue we will come again. They are building some new rooms, which will probably be also very nice!
We are amazed with Patatran Hotel Village! We had really good pleasant time there! The village is stunning, located in the best part of La Digue! Speechless view from the balcony. We had little bungalow located on the top - be prepared for so many stairs. Beautiful beach nearby - the best in la digue in our opinion. All facilities are well maintenance! Very friendly and kind staff - defo we will come back!
La Digue
The apartment was amazing. Wonderfully decorated, a well equipped kitchen (with coffee and milk) and a warm welcome from the host made this apartment the best in which we have been on the Seychelles. The location is in the middle of the village with close by supermarkets and restaurants. We loved the garden and the daily greetings of the exotic birds. If you travel to La Digue you have to stay here.
La Digue
This place is very nice and very welcoming. The hotel is ran by a very accommodating family and they do their best to keep everyone satisfied. The room itself is great, very clean, modern looking and spacious. La Digue is a very small island so no need to worry about the location, however, I would recommend renting a bike through the hotel which would be very helpful for moving around.
La Digue
La Digue is the best island of Seychelles. Wonderful beaches and nature. You can see big turtles walking around. And Pension Michel is the place I would definitely recommend for a stay. It’s clean, excellent breakfast with fresh local fruits, wonderful garden. Staff is kind and hospitable. The place is within walking distance of the ferry terminal and the best beach on the island.
La Digue
To be honest we didn’t expect much, we were more excited about the island in general, since everybody said La Digue is the most beautiful island of Seychelles. But what a surprise 🤩 villa is amazing, starting from handmade details to exceptional cleanliness. Such a beautiful garden, with golden fish and cute swimming pool. We were impressed. 10 out of 10.
This hotel is situated in a great location in La Digue. Easy to bicycle to beautiful beaches or easily walk to the town center. The view from the restaurant and pool is amazing. All the staff were friendly and informative, from the owners themselves, to Ketty at reception, and the restaurant staff! They went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.
La Digue
We had a great stay at Bamboo Vert. The hotel area was very nice, especially the giant turtle in the garden. The whole team was very nice and the breakfast was great. Good location for a stay in La Digue, not even 10 minutes from the Jetty and a small super market is very close. The room (equppied with a fridge) and the bathroom are very spacious.
La Digue
lovely & cozy apartments. kitchen, AC, fan, all the things you need were there. very friendly and supportive staff, next supermarket in 1min walking distance.WiFi surprisingly good for La Digue. they are currently building a Pool and some new apartments, so we‘re definitely looking forward to our next stay at this location.
La Digue
Small typical Seychelles house. Surrounded by lush garden. Bed was comfy. Check in went very good and easy. Nora, Monika and Mohamed were very helpfull and nice. They also had bikes for us to rent, and Nora let us stay after check out time. We had a great time in La Digue and would recomend staying here.
La Digue
Alex & Lucy are very welcoming hosts! They immediately gave welcome drinks and gave tips on best areas in La Digue. Rooms are clean and beautiful balcony with a view. All the items needed for a self-catering are there with clean kitchen and large dining area. Our best sleep in Seychelles!
La Digue
Our apartment was very spacious and equipped with all the amenities. Air conditioning is installed only in the bedroom but the living room has a ceiling fan which provides a nice breeze. The swimming pool is quite big with a lot of place to relax after a long day biking around La Digue.
La Digue
Helen and Frank are welcomed us like old friends, explained everything and gave us very good tips about La Digue. The Apartments are like 200 m from a very nice beach, equipped with everything. We could rent bikes to explore the island! Pro tipp: Bikini Bottom Bar at Anse Severe :)
The food was so tasty that we ate at the restaurant for every meal! Beyond the delicious food, convenient location and beautifully designed hotel, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. If you're planning a trip to La Digue - stay here. We will definitely be back!
