I liked everything about this place. The room were charming (1930's ish) with many fun original details. The location couldn't be better and the staff was friendly and helpful. Finally, they served the best hotel breakfast I have ever had, with a great variety of fresh food.

Family owned and run, no chain, the decoration is out of this world, and with their attention to details, there is no compromise anywhere. One day they ran out of bread. No clients complained as we all rejoiced in their humane scarcity and applauded their complimentary imperfection. Breakfast is massive with a separate room for larger parties, great selection of food, lovely staff, Madam herself a real charm to chat to and her husband is her equal. The rooms are amazing, huge, large, spacious and i will, despite my parents living in the same city, for sure book it again. The level of customer care is unparalleled i have experienced anywhere else, and I am a Hilton Gold Member.

Great location, with a beautiful garden and sea view. It was relatively empty (dead week just before midsummer) and we enjoyed the calm of the place. The restaurant and breakfast was fine. The room (Villa Emiliero superior 32) was old fashioned with a perfect view. Bed was very confortable. We recommend strongly to visit Ystad and to go to JH matbar. One of best food experience we had in Sweden (very inexpensive comparing to similar venue in Stockholm)

Like stepping back in history.

Like stepping back in history. It's small and easily covered on foot. Nature preserves, beach, harbor, and cute shops abound. Take time to tour the monastery and take in all the medieval charm. The people are warm and friendly. It's also a great launching point for Malmo, Lund, and other day trips.

This is a nice town with almost all the facilities you need, The indoor pool will be availaibe in a year or so, the repairs have taken a lot longer than planned and cost a great deal more unfortunately. The outdoor pool at Tobisvik will be open in the summer. The cinema has reaopened with regular film shows. There are many cafe's & restaraunts to choose from and it has good train and bus servic es.

It's a cute little town on rolling hills all the way down to the beach. Good restaurant options, but they are often busy as it is a popular tourist town, so call ahead and book a table. Kivik participates in the "Konstrundan" at Easter, has markets and events in the summer and an apple festival in the Autumn.

Beautiful buildings and cobbled streets. Variety of places to eat. If you are a Wallander fan its worth visiting the tourist information building for a map of the filming locations. All within walking distance. Ystad film Studios visitor Centre is also worth a visit, especially for Wallander enthusiasts like me. I love Ystad!!

I like Simrishamn .

I like Simrishamn . It is a small town with many small shops. Small streets and the church was middle in the town. The houses was only 2 or 3 level high. Much to see in the town. Many restaurants. Nere to the sea and see the boats. Just outside it is a factorystreet and there you have also the Autoseum with 200 cars old or new, motorcycles, toys

Kivik is a small town with a few nice shops and at least one good restaurant. We walked along the sea front and stumbled upon a stone circle in a field of cows. I’d liked to have stayed longer and hiked in the national (?) park just up the road. It was an enchanting area.

A lovely town to walk around, many quaint older homes and some very old buildings too. The town feels safe, the locals were friendly and helpful. With a car it was also a good base to explore the surrounding countryside and coast.

The area is deserving of a much longer visit with more time...

The area is deserving of a much longer visit with more time to explore the history and natural beauty that it has to offer. I highly recommend renting bicycles from Rentbike Simrishamn (rentbike.se) even in inclement weather, and taking advantage of the many kilometres of bicycle paths close to the sea. PRO TIP: rent a bicycle and head out to the VYN wine bar (no reservations) at the new Daniel Berlin restaurant, farm and hotel property. Beautiful wine and carefully crafted food in an extraordinary location...mind blown!!
