The apartment looks much better than on the photos. It is beautifully located, around 300 meters above the nearest town, Cerkno, with great mountain views all around. A trail to the nearby Porezen peak starts just outside the door. The apartment is spacious, fully-equipped, and very well stocked. The kitchen has everything you might need to cook a substantial meal. As part of the rental, you get access to your own, covered outdoor sitting area with a large table and barbecue - and an amazing view down the mountain! Our hosts were just departing for their on holiday, but their parents / in laws were around for anything we needed. We were given fresh eggs, tomatoes, and peppers from the family garden, which was really kind (and delicious). The parking facility outside the apartment is great and definitely useful in this very hilly environment. On that note: you need a car that will go up and down some pretty steep hills to move around this area. There are no facilities in walking distance without taking a hike down to Cerkno.

The house is situated beautifully and is quiet, comfortable, and clean. The best part was the owner of the property. She was kind and went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. She even shopped for a sumptuous vegan/vegetarian breakfast for us, when I informed her that we needed breakfast. This stay was a highlight of our Juliana trail adventure. Very sad we are not staying longer.

Host was very very helpful. As the weather wasn’t great she suggested to visit cave as weather won’t affect that. Though we had already booked our cave tour, we managed to change it for some extra amount so that we could utilize our day in the country. She waited for us for check in though we were late. Kitchen has everything from jams, breads, milk…. Great as the property is not in main town so during bad weather it was great. We also tried their home made wine which was also good. I guess the view too is good as it was on height but during our stay we couldn’t enjoy that due to bad weather.

The property was immaculate. The rooms were large. The breakfast dining area was well stocked and very comfortable. The hospitality of the staff was second to none.
