But the highlight of our stay was definitely the bathtub in the middle of the room – pure perfection, creating a luxurious and relaxing atmosphere.
The bath cosmetics were top-notch, carefully selected for a truly indulgent experience. And the breakfast and restaurant? A solid 10+! The food was simply outstanding, with fresh, high-quality ingredients and a fantastic selection. The entire dining experience was exceptional!
One small suggestion: it would be great if the hotel provided slippers in the apartment, as we really missed them while enjoying the beautiful bathtub.
The location is ideal, the staff incredibly kind and professional, and every detail is thoughtfully designed. A hotel that truly deserves 10/10!

We loved our stay. We were by bicycles, and the bike storage was great. We really appreciated it. We loved the room, the breakfast, and the location, which is next to the Solkan bridge, a masterpiece of civil engineering. Everything was excellent indeed. We only stayed one day, but we need to explore the Vipava Valley further. The hotel is located in a former mansion of a duke. I agree that this is a way better usage of the space :D.
The staff were fantastic. Both check-in and check-out went smoothly; you feel welcome, experience warmth, and enjoy a great sense of hospitality. The same is with the staff during breakfast and with the room maintenance, all deserve a big chocolate cake :D Thank you so much for making our holiday even more glamurous.

Beautiful housing set up with multiple areas to utilize as you needed. The pool, outdoor kitchen, grill, outdoor tables/chairs. Plenty of space to enjoy the wonderful weather and beautiful scenery. The breakfast was delicious although an extra charge. Plenty of free parking, even for larger family vehicles. Host and staff were very kind and willing to answer any questions. Suggestions were made for places to visit/eat as well as maps to help navigate. There are wine tastings 2 nights a week. I was unable to attend but wish I could have.

It was definitely the most beautiful and unique place I have stayed in Slovenia. Every single detail was perfect. You can be sure that the staff takes great care of cleanliness, and the rooms smell pleasantly fresh. We joined for dinner and wine tasting during which we were amazed at how much the owners put their heart and soul into what they do. Each dish was delicious and creative, combining tradition and sophistication. It was an exceptional and unforgettable experience.

The most beautiful setting to take in Slovenia. Do yourself a favor and walk around on the streets outside the hotel to take in all the views. Very friendly staff. Outstanding restaurant (one of the best meals we had) and the server suggested excellent wines and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. Well appointed rooms and spacious bathroom.

The location is picture-perfect — literally! The apartment overlooks the stunning countryside of Brda and its vineyards. It is within walking distance of the Italian border, a wine bar/restaurant, and the historic Vila Vipolže.

The location is very easy to find, free parking lot for guests. The conditions exceeds any expectation for 2 stars. The staff extremely friendly and helpful. We asked for a hairdryer and we got it immediately.
Anyone who wants a fair priced accomodation with excellent conditions should consider this place.

Very good hotel, ideal for visiting Postojna or on the way to the Adriatic Sea. Very warm and courteous welcome, super rich and yet inexpensive breakfast. Despite its proximity to the main road, the room was very quiet. Air conditioning is available, but we didn't need it. We can fully recommend this hotel.

Dobrovo was a very nice area with some nice wineries, highly recommend Edi Simcic ~ Felix was amazingly fun. It was rainy during our stay, so we will unable to do ebikes, however this would be a great activity in better weather. Belvin was a nice restaurant nearby with grilled meats and vegetables, along with salads and pizza. Maravida House is a great Airbnb with a wonderful property (3 rooms) and a very kind and helpful host, Jacob!

Divača is a quiet town/village on the railwy line between Ljubljana and Koper. It is very close to both Lipica and to skočjanske Jame. These caves are my favourites in Slovenia, although not to be visited if you have a problem walking.. The park surrounding the caves is very beautiful too.
Divača itself is quiet, but has a Cinema museum, which is popular with those interested in early silent films.
There area few trains three each day, and also a bus service during the week. Not at the weekend, however, as I found to my cost on another occasion when I drove a friend's car home for her - and then found there were no buses on Saturdays by which to travel back to the coast!, and the next train would have kept me late for my meeting. Luckily, there were others around to heading the same way.
While Skočjam and Lipica are open all year, there are also smaller caves in the area which are open only in the tourist season. To drive there from the coast takes about 30 minutes, and about the same driving time will take you to Postojna and the more famous caves there, or to Predjamskigrad, an amazing Castle , most of which is inside the mountain, hence its name - the castle in front of the cave.

The apartmend we stayed is perfect. It is located in a small village just 5 minutes from the next big town called Ajdovščina. The nature is pure perfection. The mountains, the roads. Host will help you make a plan, as he is really nice and helpful.

Great hiking trails but you really need a car to get around. We were on foot which limited what we could do. We walked over 12 km daily and did very little. Most of the places to visit were out of reach.

The caves were incredible - a great experience.
The caves were incredible - a great experience. We bought the ticket which also gave access to the vivarium. Make sure you dress warmly for both as the caves are very cold. There is a shuttle - an additional 2 Euros return- that takes you from the hotel car park to Predjama Castle. This was also so interesting and well worth a visit.

There are many things to see around. We visited Lipica farm and Koper town. We found very good food at decent price at "Gostlina Spark" restaurant, it is behind the "business incubator" center, across the street from Lidl supermarket.
