- From $43.35 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 86 reviewsIt's a very nice place. We had the more expensive room with private swimming pool (including a waterfall that you can switch on for approx. 15 minutes per click on the button). If you go there in a super hot season or with children, then the swimming pool will be perfect to have, but we where there in raining season and of course the pool doesn't get that warm then. But also inside, and on the patio outside it is very nice place to hang out and have a little party and fun. Very large room, good TV and coffee/tea set. A desk you could do some laptop work on as well, which is important to me. The beds are nicely soft and, they put decent effort in the place to ensure privacy through high walls between swimming pools of different rooms. It is a very nice place for both couples and families.Guest review byMarkThailand
- From $253.31 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very Good - What previous guests thought, 1,239 reviewsI loved the location, the Mon people who were the staff, the experience, the family-like feeling of a small community run hotel. I loved that there was no signal, no electricity, that there was Wandee elephant coming each morning to have some of last night’s and morning fruits. The surroundings were stunning and such was the decor of the hotel, natural and blending in the surroundings. Pat was exceptional, his hospitality and English great and warmth and attentiveness fantastic. He brings magic!Guest review byMatyldaPoland
- From $210.58 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very Good - What previous guests thought, 1,012 reviewsHuge resort surrounded by beautiful gardens with lovely two swimming pools. The location little far from the downtown if you don’t have your own transportation. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable with large balcony. The only downside were the stairs difficult to climb for elderly people, you may request ground level rooms if available. Great breakfast with lots of varieties. I highly recommend this beautiful resort.Guest review byEbrahimBahrain

Location was ideal between water falls and river Khwai. Staff was so friendly, professional, and made accommodation adjustment to place two rooms together for our convenience. The swimming pool was amazingly beautiful and we took river raft and that was totally awesome. Thank you all the staff for a wonderful stay!Guest review byShirleyUnited States

Hotel is good, comfortable beds good shower, hot and cold...
Hotel is good, comfortable beds good shower, hot and cold water in the sink, swimming pool was nice but the water was a little dirty in my opinion, never saw pool cleaners but l was only there for 3 days, Rooms are large and clean, Only downside for myself and my friends was it’s a long way from the bars and restaurants that serve European food, There are taxis outside, old pick up trucks not nice air conditioned cars, they charge 100 baht to go up the straight road, which is ok but we had to have a taxi to go for breakfast there and back then another to go out in the evening out and back, so an extra 400 baht a day on the room price, If the hotel would provide a free shuttle service like many hotels do in other cities, I’m sure they would do better business.Guest review byAndrewThailand - 8.0

Sai Yok is great for people wanting to visit beautiful natural wonders and the terrible death railway of WW11. However, information is often incorrect and wrong most locals have no English. I researched extensively and even that was not enough most websites offer information that is ab solutely wrong and only their own experience NOT FACTS, enjoy.Guest review byEagleAustralia - 10.0

Great concept of these floating hotel on the river situated on Kwai River in Kanchanaburi, Thailand. This resort overlooks the beautiful breath taking mountain view across your room. And just down the road; a definite hikers dream to the Erawan waterfalls for a dip of paradise.Guest review byBridgetteUnited States - 10.0
This place is pure magic, not like anywhere else.
This place is pure magic, not like anywhere else. Gorgeous reservoir, awe-inspiring loooong wooden bridge, water and boating activities, excellent local food and daily market and hugely eager local people that do their best despite living in hard times. You’ll leave a little bit changed.Guest review byIan GarethCanada - 10.0
What a place to visit if you are a history enthusiast.
What a place to visit if you are a history enthusiast. My primary purpose was to see the Hellfire Pass for the ANZAC Day service. If you are here on April 25th, you must take the trip to the service. It was emotional, an eerie yet beautiful way to remember those servicemen from many countries who lost their lives. The River Kwai bridge was busy with tourists when the trains arrived; however, it's quieter in the afternoon between train schedules. Not to be missed is the bridge being lit up at night. Head over the bridge to the opposite side and enjoy the food, watch the light show, and listen to Thai music. I had the best noodles there, and the price was $2.50 AUD. You will also be able to experience where the actual camp was in the olden days. I stayed at Siam Guesthouse, a family-run business in a perfect location. It was budget-friendly and provided excellent service—a great place to start exploring the wonderful Kanchanaburi.Guest review byDevan - 10.0
Sai Yok is a big place which encompasses National Parks,...
Sai Yok is a big place which encompasses National Parks, reservoirs and dams as well as forests, mountains, animal sanctuaries, rivers and even a World War 2 death railway. You can choose to drive up in a personal car, as I did, about 3 hours from Bangkok but on a very scenic route, or you can take the train. Once there you can travel on the famed river Kwai if you want to and see all of the natural beauty and wildlife that abounds. I only went for 3 days this time but it is about my 12th visit as I live in Bangkok, and I always find that there is something different to do, just be aware of the rainy season which can curtail anyone's day.Guest review byCarlThailand - 2.0
There is nothing about this place that I would recommend!
There is nothing about this place that I would recommend! This should be 200 baht per night, not 2500! The room is atrocious, the drinks menu had many options but unless you like Tiger beer, you’re out of luck! 350 baht for Tom Yum that even my Thai partner couldn’t eat! Hot water was broken and was eventually fixed after I insisted! Every food service was cold! Of course, I wanted to leave immediately but no refund! And of course booking.com don’t answer any queries! So let’s review them as well! Have sent 2 emails and had no response! Happy to take your money but that’s it! As a genius level member, you would think that they would care about something that they are promoting! Apparently not so bye bye Booking.comGuest review byPeterThailand - 10.0

I travelled to Sai Yok by car, so was able to explore the area easily. I didn't book any organised trips. Sai Yok National Park was worth the Foreigner price - the waterfalls were easily accessible, and if I was younger and fitter I would have been able to spend a long time wandering about. I refused to pay the foreigner price for Lawa Cave, as did the Western family with four children who arrived at the same time. I did not feel that the experience would be worth it, and for the family it would have been extremely expensive. Thin Lin Hot Springs, however, charges the same price for everyone. Affordable for Thai people and an absolute bargain for Westerners. The pools are tiled, so do not look natural, but it is very clean and a beautiful place. There is a roped off area in the nearby river, so it is possible to swim and paddle safely without fear of being swept away. The current is very strong. The area is very beautiful and quite unspoilt. I recommend it for those wanting a peaceful, back to nature type of holiday.Guest review byAngelaThailand - 8.0
Staff were very helpful and couldn’t do enough for you.
Staff were very helpful and couldn’t do enough for you. Owner was delightful and the river was beautiful. Canoes were available. The only problem for us was the shower area got flooded as there was no shower curtain and toilet seat was loose otherwise very nice place to stay. It needs bedside lampsGuest review byJudithAustralia
