Staying at River Home Bangkok was an absolute delight! The location couldn't have been better, offering easy access to everything we wanted to explore. What truly made our stay exceptional was the amazing staff. They were incredibly attentive and accommodating, especially considering we were traveling with an infant. The room was spacious. Location was good. Samyan near to Chula area and Bantat Thong. Was there during the recent earthquake. Staff was super helpful. Even prepared food and drinks and ushered us to nearby low rise sister hotel for refuge. Kept all the guests updated and got us back to the hotel as soon as circumstances allowed. Remember none of the staff experienced this situation before. The alarm was raised in a very timely manner following the first tremor. I saw that the staff even went above and beyond what was required. Saw them buy change of clothing for a couple who were in bathrobes, counselling guests who were in shock etc. Thank you for taking care of all of us! 💓

Great location, access directly from hotel to BTS station and airport link to BKK. 2 stations away Siam Paragon Mall. Hotel is very clean. Great city view. 2 beautiful swimming pools. Room has a lot of space and clean. Wonderful and friendly staffs. We certainly will come back. Highly recommended.

    Bangkok never disappoints me.

    Bangkok never disappoints me. I have come here many times and I still feel excited whenever I come. Although the city has become more expensive than it was even in 2022 when I last visited. Food and taxi fare has doubled. But still offers so many things to the travellers.

    The city is combination of old culture and modernize city. The traffic is not too busy . Transportation is convenient. People are nice and friendly. Cost of living is not expensive. The weather is nice , there are lots of big trees.

    The line of restaurants was really nice but regarding the beach, it’s over crowded with agents trying to sell beach activities so there wasn’t a peaceful space where you could just chill and actually go take a swim at the beach which was a bit disappointing

    The Beaches especially around Koh Larn' the night life the restaurants food and the people are friendly. be careful of the scams especially around walking street for example the kick boxing scam where they invite you into the ring for photos take your phone for photos then intimidate you for exorbetant tips! avoid the kickboxing on Walking street its a scam

    Koh Tao is still one of the few raw escapes in Thailand in my opinion, its divers and back packers heaven. However as a father with 2 kids in my forties i absolutely loved it. If you step away from the busy areas and off the beaten track you can find amazing coves and hiden gems still. The tourism all over the world has killed so much of our wildlife and reefs. The locals are definitely trying to do all they can to save it. Brilliant food, amazing views and a fun island.

    Chaweng is a beautiful destination for a chill out holiday The Jungle Tour is definitely worth doing & don't be afraid to barter the price Lots of eateries with great selection of food to choose from Fishermans Market is very pretty at night & there are bargains to be had If you hire a car or scooter - by careful if you like to dabble in the Green because the Police will pull you over & you will get a hefty fine - not worth it - grab a taxi or the local rides (which are cheap)

    If you want the beach and trips from the beach to the islands do not recommend you go this time of the year. As three single travellers there were very few bars, lots of restaurants that sold alcohol but no bars you could sit at and have a chat only found four and three of those were a good 30min walk from the centre. Ao Nang seems to have changed a lot over the years and has lost a lot of it's character as it is now catering more for families, which is not a all bad if that is what you are looking for but comparing it with Hua Hin, or Koh Samui, it just doesn't.

    We had a great stay the front desk went out if their way to accommodate out late arrival 1AM. Driver was polite and helpful. Rasi at the front desk gave on the spot advise of how to get around Bonus was the breakfast and van ride to the airport.

    The first two times we visited Koh Samui we stayed in Bophut...

    The first two times we visited Koh Samui we stayed in Bophut near Fisherman's Village. After exploring the island a little more, we came to the conclusion that Lamai was the area we preferred, The beaches were better and sandy compared to Bophut which was more of a slush/muddy fell underfoot. Chaweng was a little too much for us, however, Lamai was just right.
