It was such a relief when arriving later in the evening to be able to just walk 6 minutes from the exit of the airport to the hotel. You also walk right past a 7-11 so you can pick up some food and get cash out of the ATM for your stay. It was super cheap, had a friendly staff member at reception, had good aircon and comfy beds. We even were able to have a beautiful morning swim before check out the next morning.

I went to Ban Bo Han for an overnight stay in order to catch a morning flight from the airport. I was only there for an afternoon and evening. There were plenty of shops and restaurants and, for Phuket, the traffic was not too bad, so quite a pleasant place to walk around.

It is a small, but well designed 2 separate rooms apts. Each room has own air condition unit. Kitchenette has everything for home cooking.
If any problem appears, Andrei, the host lives at the same building and quickly resolve it. The hidden treasure for this area is a reef with great variety of coral fishes just 15 minutes beach walk to south of the Airport. It is part of Sirinat National Park. It is a free entrance to the park if you just doing beach walking from your apts. If you use official entrance- 200 bat for adult plus 20 bat for your car!!! I saved tons of money, each morning coming for the great snorkeling for 13 days for free. Plus, you can get a fresh fish right from the tiny fish market in the Park ( and authentic cheap breakfast from the locals.)Compare this with $60 for 30 minutes snorkeling from the boat tour.
The beach is amazing, especially early morning.

Really loved Naiyang beach, could literally walk for miles of beautiful beach coastline. 10 mins from airport, but planes not intrusive at all. Great to walk the 45 mins along coast to the airport and have the planes come in overhead, almost close enough to touch! Loads of beach restaurants serving great Thai food. Some nicer than others. Highly recommend the Good View Restaurant as consistently good food.

Nice beach for relax while sun tanning. Swim or spend time with family. The sand was white and gold colour. If you are hungry, you can easily have your lunch at the nearby local restaurant. Just a walking distance. Very very close. Even a mini market also available.

transport is needed to get to the best Thai food restaurant in the area 400m past the lotus supermarket on left called "The Old Maikow restaurant" which hotel can arrange for you. please read what i didn't like for details on distance and transport.
Disliked · for travellers over a certain age who are not as spritely as they once were 20 years ago the distance to beach was a 350m walk with no cheap restaurants, to the nearest 7-11 and cheaper restaurants and street food was 400m, the nearest lotus supermarket another 7-11 was a further 400m, so if your like us(old) the hotel would call a local "samlor" (tuk tuk) who would transport you anywhere, or you could use the free hotel bicycle if your Lance Armstrong lol, remember the heat factor too.
we were told that there were plans for a breakfast area for the future, and although there was a fridge in reception for the purchase of cold drinks they did not have any snacks or pot noodle style food available, which would have been handy. would we stay here again ? we would, as much as we needed transport to reach the shops etc as my wife is Thai it was easier for us to call transport direct than rely on the hotel every time. the large room could do with a bigger tv as it was only furnished with a tiny one.

There are plenty of places to eat and drink close to the beach, parking is ample and the sunset is awesome!
Two 7/11's provide your chilled wines, beers and spirits.
Horse ridding along the beach is worth a go!

One of the few locations that hasn't yet turned into a concrete jungle of resorts and high-rises. The downside is that facilities for eating etc. are somewhat less. For anyone that enjoys quiet beach strolls and small Thai owned businesses it is a great spot. Very convenient location for the airport as traffic congestion can make travelling to the more southern locations a pain.
Motor bike hire and taxis available, plus the usual Grab/Bolt options.

The beach itself is very steep, dirty, and a bit scary when tide is high. I did find the ruins of hotels from the 2004 tsunami historically interesting but probably rather creepy for many travelers. Leave the beach to the swarms of Russians.

The beach is easy enough to find from the airport hotels, but you need to cross a tide line of rubbish to get to the sand. It's a long wide stretch of sand, but the stretch we walked is sloped - so OK for a wander but I wouldn't want to sunbathe there. Didn't see any facilities (showers / loos).

Eat N Sleep is an oasis in Phuket Town. For a 2-star motel, I consider it a 10 out of 10. There are plenty of restaurants and markets within walking distance. It's about an hour from the Phuket International Airport and only about 22 minutes from Rassada Pier. We stayed here for 2 nights after flying into the airport, but before leaving for Phi Phi Island. Great deal for the price. Friendly staff. Beautiful plants.
