Nai Yang Beach is basically a family orientated beach location, 10mins from the Phuket airport. Many people stay here to transit via the airport for few days. It is home to a number of long term expats who prefer the quieter lifestyle with less tourists but has all of the amenities. If you are looking for a party atmosphere this is not the place, that said, its has some party bars etc if that is your thing.

Nai Yang is a lovely area. More a local vibe than touristy. Great restaurants and lovely locals. Unfortunately due to weather and wind the beach was covered in rubbish. The lovely locals tried so hard to clean up but each time the tide came in more rubbish appeared. Was beginning to improve as we left. Great location to to just relax before or after a long haul flight.

On the plus side, the beach wasn't crowded and didn't have anyone hassling you to buy food etc. There were lots of good restaurants on the beach, and the village had a few shops and a 24-hour convenience store. Unfortunately, the beach wasn't particularly clean, and it seamed that nobody actually cleaned it anyway. Also, there were a few too many stray dogs in the mornings. Nevertheless, I love the place as it's very natural and relaxing, and you can easily walk from the airport with hand luggage if you're only staying a few days.David - Scored 2.02.0
