World class French colony-style hotel. Excellent location in a tropical garden with nice pool. Excellent food and a good breakfast buffet. Fantastic staff - very smiling and helpful. Different possibilities for massage. Can recommend head and shoulder massage. Hotel, restaurant and massage very much affordable. Staff very helpful when we had to visit Alliance Medical Center (also fantastic service and staff) after a fall. We were brought there by hotel staff and they assisted us all 2-hours we were there and brought safely back. Thanks a lot all at Settha Palace Hotel. We will definitely be back at Settha.

The staff were very friendly and supportive. The staff were fluent in english. The place was very clean 10/10. Rooms included all amenities that you expect. The location is right in the city center, near Parkson Mall and Vientiane Center. Rooms were very spacious. They've also included extension cords for EU,US plug points as well. Our stay was very short but its was very much worth it for the value. This is a newly built place.

This has to be the premier location in Vientiane. Great location, with free courtesy bus to major attractions. Upon arrival we were greeted by smiling friendly accommodating staff. The foyer is large and welcoming with a coffee shop. The rooms are excellent, clean, comfortable, modern, large. Bathroom excellent with great shower and hot water pressure. The toilet is fully automatic opens lid on entry and flushes. Curtains are remote controlled and truly excellent black out quality. Breakfast choice is excellent and amazing. Happy hour with a choice of beers is great, we ate in the restaurant every night and were never disappointed in the presentation, quality, value and flavours. All the staff there pride themselves on customer service and they deliver excellence. A 10/10 from me. I have extensively travelled, I would rate here as the best experience I've encountered. I could not fault a single thing.

Hotel Review: A Stunning Oasis in Vientiane We stayed at this hotel for two days upon our arrival in Vientiane, and it was truly amazing—highly recommended! We had an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. First of all, we chose the airport pickup service, and it exceeded our expectations. Not only was the driver there to greet us, but a staff member from the reception was also present. They welcomed us with a traditional local treat and refreshing cold water. Despite the short drive, the staff member gave us an insightful introduction to the city, making the ride both enjoyable and informative. It was such a warm and thoughtful welcome that made us feel instantly at home. At the reception, the team was incredibly kind and accommodating. The check-in process was quick and efficient, and even though we arrived early, our room was already ready. The property itself is absolutely stunning—an oasis of peace and greenery right in the heart of the city. Our room was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and perfectly located. It was the ideal place to relax after exploring Vientiane. The breakfast was excellent, with great attention to detail and delicious options. We also dined at the hotel one evening, and the food was fantastic. The service was attentive and professional, ensuring a wonderful dining experience. Overall, we had an amazing stay. The combination of exceptional service, beautiful surroundings, and a serene atmosphere made it unforgettable. We highly, highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Vientiane!

Cheap affordable and clean. No hassles checking in, paying or booking. The staff went out of their way to help. Yeh, it's no five star but for 25 bucks a night Aus it is a steal. To be frank, I stay only in 5 star normally. I am very fussy. So if I say it's good, don't worry, it's good. Basic, but I extended my stay for 2 weeks, so that shows. If your on a budget - this is your place.

I had a very nice trip to Vientiane.

I had a very nice trip to Vientiane. Although I was not able to travel outside the capital, I still enjoyed my few days there. One of the highlights was visiting the Buddha Park, which I found truly beautiful and a real gem of Asian art. I also loved the Art Love Museum—it's very new, modern, and absolutely fantastic to visit. Of course, the city has many temples to explore, and the weather during my stay was pleasant: hot, with only occasional evening rain. I would certainly recommend travelling to Vientiane. The city offers many nice hotels, and it is not difficult to find suitable accommodation at a reasonable price. There are also plenty of very good restaurants serving delicious traditional Lao food as well as a variety of Asian dishes. Overall, Vientiane is a calm and enjoyable destination, perfect for a short cultural getaway.

Wonderful area to explore, many Temples, Patuxay Victory Monument is not far away and great at sunset to early evening when water fountain puts on a great light show. Riverfront night markets fun park plenty of choices for food.

Living in Udon Thani place makes for an easy trip to Laos to feed my gambling bug. Bit far from Downtown Vientiane, but there are numerous transportation options to get in to town from the border/hotel. * No fine dining places near-by, thus the need to travel in to Vientiane.

The National Art gallery is a 'must do ' . World class huge wooden statues carved out of logs , all in a gobsmacking building only 2 yrs old. A tad out of town ie 17 km but well worth the effort.

Sleepy small town by the river, relaxing if you come from a large city like BKK or VTE. Rent a bike and take a tour along the river. Don’t forget to visit the spectacular Buddha park (sister to the Vientiane version). It is a good stop to relax a few days on your way to / from Laos.

Vientiane is a good place to have a night in between...

Vientiane is a good place to have a night in between travelling via the trains. Sticky fingers is a nice cafe to eat and you can get around easily on tuktuks there. Recommend only a day as Luang Prabang is amazing and you won't want to leave.

It was bigger than I thought it was.

It was bigger than I thought it was. Many temples further up in the mountains were definitely places to add to your list. I loved the views from the Mekong across to Laos, the markets in the town by the river, the night market by the station and of course all the temples were great to visit. I stayed at the Park and Pool resort which had great service, rooms and a nice pool.
