We got a really warm welcome, including welcome juice. The staff was really helpful and answered all the questions we had. The breakfast was good, got a lot food to choose between (sausages, pastries, fresh fruits, juices, coffee etc.). Rooms were clean, had a big bed and TV. There was even a clothes steamer which was perfect after a long flight while our clothes were all wrinkled. Hotel was in a rather quiet location, not far away from beach and grocery stores. The hotel was worth every penny!

The city is just a perfect African city, mixed with modern facilities and traditional scenes and sights all round. The people are amazing; friendly, informative and welcoming despite language barrier (many do not converse in English at all). I will recommend the city to someone who loves a hot and sunny weather / environment. The clothes market is also amazing with lots of items from all over the world.

Dar Es Salaam is a vibrant city. I was there for work for about 4 days. The city is undoing major construction facelift on highways, so expect some delays moving around. The attraction areas are great.

Stone town was great to wander around. Not much hassle.

Stone town was great to wander around. Not much hassle. You can explore by yourself. Coffee shops good and restaurants. Avoid the port street food outside eating experience. Lots of night stands BBQing there. Very expensive and no where to sit really. People very friendly. Felt very safe at night walking around. The slave museum was worth visiting, emotional, though not much mention of the British enslaving millions, mostly boards talking about how they helped ban the trade.
