What I like about this property is that it doesn’t follow the local service standards so you can have accessibility to very good facilities. Great breakfast very clean. I have sit in many hotels in Dar and this is definitely the only one that I would say it didn’t disappoint.

Everything about Totara is wonderful. Location, breakfast, staff & facilities were all superb. Super comfy bed and nice size room. Kettle and small fridge in the room. AC works fantastic and you also have a fan in the room. Lovely garden and a swimming pool. Nice restaus and coffee places nearby. I definitely recommend it and I am coming back again!

Our stay in Johari was part of our honeymoon. The rooms are very clean, spacious and full of amenities. The hotel itself is very nice with a great location. Hotel staff were very nice and they even decorated our room with flowers. The spa and gym were quite lovely and the breakfast was incredible; different options every day !

I recently had a lovely one-night stay at the Tiffany Diamond Hotel and would absolutely stay there again. The staff were very nice and attentive, making us feel welcome. Our room was massive and well-equipped, and we really enjoyed the rooftop bar and restaurant. Beyond the very good service and amenities, the hotel offers excellent value for money, which was one of the main reasons for our choice. Plus, the convenience of their airport shuttle service made arrival and departure completely stress-free. Overall, recommended.

Right on the beach, palms swaying, delightful staff - what’s not to love?! Far from the bustle of Dar es salaam, yet still close if you need to go there, so the location is great. The rooms are large, spacious and airy and set away from the beach so they are an oasis from wind and salt spray. You have your own elevated veranda (with hammock) where you can sit and watch monkeys play in the trees and observe the beautiful birds. And the pizzas are great!

It's not my first time at Serena, but the other times I couldn't use any of the amenities. This time I used the Gym, the sauna and enjoyed the overall atmosphere of this hotel, and the feeling is great. The rooms are not new, so shower and wc could be improved. But the room is huge, the service is excellent, like it is expected in a 5 starts. Small courtesy like preparing your room for the night, plenty of complementary water, very nice view to the garden and sea. The gym is excellent. Small details like having a smart TV that connects to our phone are also a plus. And they were very friendly to allow me a late check out considering I was taking a late flight, so it allow me to take a nice shower before leaving. The hotel is general is not a new style hotel, but you can feel the tradition and a mix of Arabic and África. There's a lot of people coming from outside to use the restaurant and that gives some extra life to the hotel. The other times I was not so impressed, this time I loved it. Thank you to all staff.

The whole Kijiji Resort facility is beautiful by the Ocean. Great people, great service, very clean. You will even find a toothbrush and toothpaste in the bathroom. Breakfasts are varied and fresh. I highly recommend!

The city is just a perfect African city, mixed with modern facilities and traditional scenes and sights all round. The people are amazing; friendly, informative and welcoming despite language barrier (many do not converse in English at all). I will recommend the city to someone who loves a hot and sunny weather / environment. The clothes market is also amazing with lots of items from all over the world.

Dar Es Salaam is a vibrant city. I was there for work for about 4 days. The city is undoing major construction facelift on highways, so expect some delays moving around. The attraction areas are great.

Stone town was great to wander around. Not much hassle.

Stone town was great to wander around. Not much hassle. You can explore by yourself. Coffee shops good and restaurants. Avoid the port street food outside eating experience. Lots of night stands BBQing there. Very expensive and no where to sit really. People very friendly. Felt very safe at night walking around. The slave museum was worth visiting, emotional, though not much mention of the British enslaving millions, mostly boards talking about how they helped ban the trade.
