We found this lodge online and booked for 9 days. After a fantastic welcome we were offered the traditional bungalow on the beach, but could choose others that were available. The lodge is right on the beach and is a “barefoot” resort, sand right up to your veranda. We wanted to dive with the whale sharks, snorkel and scuba dive and the lodge delivered on all accounts. What really made our stay was the team, including the two Moodys (we called them the moody blues) and the wonderful team from the restaurant and boutique. Massages are also available. They all treated us like family and there was nothing they would not do to make our stay amazing. All our diving and snorkeling trips were organised, and we could add all the costs to our account and pay on departure. The whale sharks were amazing and the island snorkeling and beach BBQ incredible. We also ate on the beach in front of a beach fire. The fishing boats are right in front of you. There are also two resident black cats (Vladimir) who added to our family experience. Hassan, the owner, was very discreet, super friendly and professional leaving his team to happily look after us. Mafia is a small island, very laid back, and these guys do not have mass tourism, they just made our stay amazing. Well done!

Yussuf and his team are great and the lodge is really beautiful. It's very quiet, perfect for everyone who doesn't need a lot of people. We enjoyed the hammock, the beach and the nice atmosphere a lot.

Wonderful staff, excellent beds and a very nice swimming pool. The chef made some very good meals and the room was very spacious and very new. The staff is also very helpful if you want to explore the island. I can highly recommend Mafia Dream Hotel if you are looking for a place at Mafia Island.

The staff and dedication to detail was outstanding. The place is very well taken care of and the food was excellent. We got upgraded to the newly built rooms. The area was quiet and the balcony was overlooking the sea. We felt like we were in paradise!! They made a big effort to make it eco friendly, which we loved. We will definitely go back! Very quiet location and very close to the ocean. The food was very good with fresh fruits and juices daily but what I loved was how friendly and welcoming everyone was. I would definitely come back here again.
