Upon arrival, we were immediately surprised by the unique location of this lodge, situated on the top of a cliff with a rich history. Amongst it’s endless beach and rich marine life, it also serves as the perfect spot to watch the sunset and find your inner peace. The rooms, restaurant & other facilities, clearly taking into account principles such as ecology and sustainability, contributed to this experience. Most of all, we would like to thank the owners and staff, who all give their best during our stay, a healthy mix between passion and giving chances to the local communities. If you are searching for remote quiet relaxing beach- this is for you. I loved everything. The staff is extremely friendly. Madam cook is excellent, she really tried to indulge my preferences, the cabin is lovely like all the facilities: minimalist intervention in natural sandy surroundings, natural materials . The monkeys are all around, sound of bush babies at night made this stay unique.

This is a paradise - quiet, few people, beautiful beach at one's doorstep, big terrace and hammocks. There is also a big kitchen with everything you need to cook -- good new stove and fridge. Stanley, the manager, and Mama Said, the housekeeper and cook are wonderful, eager to help make one's stay comfortable. We would happily stay again, perhaps with family or friends as it is a big house

We choose Barrys to get away from all the stress and commerce that always follows you when one travel to touristic places. Barrys is located far away from anything. It is you together with the silence, waves, and lovely staff. We took the boat from Zanzibar and stayed for four days. It is one hour drive to Saadani national park where you can see all animals but Rhinos and Cheetas. Our safari was a great animal experience with packed breakfast and lunch prepared by Deodatha and her staff. You will be taken care of in the best possible way by Barry, Deodatha, and staff.

We loved absolutely everything! If you’d like to experience the real Tanzania, to see the authentic life and some peace and quiet (recommended for example when you’re on the way from Dar to Lushoto or you just have a few days after/before Zanzibar), we can’t recommend Bahari more! Francesco, the owner, is an amazing italian guy who made us feel at home and truly taken care of. He also showed us around and helped with our transportation. His level of hospitality is amazing. The accommodation is comfy and pretty and we would definitely come back again.

A great place to stay, great beaches, pristine and clean. Close enough to the National park for us to make a few visits. Lovely helpful staff, could not be nicer. Well worth the journey there.

it was clean ans confortable and the guys around wete helpful food was amaizing and the sorroundings were awesome😊 we had a great time with my family
