Wilfried and his family are absolute gems. We had the best stay there, loved sharing our meals with the family and getting to know more about the region through the eyes of a local. Wilfried also helped us organise a day trip to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for my partner’s birthday gift. It was certainly a highlight of our time in Africa. The views from the bedroom were stunning, we spent some time on the balcony just reading and watching the lake. The sunset was beautiful. The cooking was all homemade and delicious with a mix of local recipes and international recipes. The shower was hot and had excellent water pressure.

A good budget stay to do the very expensive gorilla trekking from. We were warmly welcomed upon check in and informed about all there is to do in the area. Staff was very attentive and kind. Room and parking was secure. Hot shower!

From the moment I made the booking, I already received a warm response from the Edward. He contacted me immediately and made sure my transportation was perfectly arranged. When I arrived in Kabale, he was there waiting for me together with Oris. Such incredibly kind people. They took me to the boat and arranged the boat ride to the beautiful accommodation. Upon arrival, I was welcomed by friendly staff, including the cheerful chef, who cooked an absolutely delicious meal for me — truly the best meal I had in Uganda. I will never forget it. The cottage and the houses are beautifully located with a stunning view over Lake Bunyonyi. The cottages are extremely clean, and the view you have from there is simply amazing. Edward and Oris also took such good care of me on my return journey, making sure I got back safely and helping me throughout my transport and travel. Edward and Oris, people like you are the reason I travel. You are incredibly kind and have truly good hearts. I wish you all the very best, and I enjoyed every single moment of my stay with you. Extraordinary room layout, extremely clean and superb water shower supply both warm and cold. Awesome cozy views to read a nice book while you lookout at the lake in front! My stay at Nshongi camp was absolutely incredible, the best of my trip: The staff welcomed my warmly by upgrading me to a sublime room where the beds were very comfortable. Moses and the whole team go the extra mile to make you feel at home. They are extremely kind. In addition, the hotel is incredible: view of the forest where animals are visible (I observed colorful birds, monkeys, squirrels and a family of waterbucks), very comfortable (internet and hot shower and two steps from Rushaga Gate) and the food is delicious. I even extended my stay!

Amazing staff that are always smiling and super helpful. Amazing views of Kabale town and I would recommend people to stay at this guest house. Food is also delicious.

Absolutely everything! It is just like the photos however those can’t capture the stunning views from the island, the friendly staff or wonderful sense of peace! I stayed in a treehouse, very cosy, comfy bed, mosquito net, hot shower & lovely view from the balcony. The birds in the morning were something else! The lovely restaurant area was a great place to sit and read a book as was the « Sundowner Deck » with sun beds, a great place to swim from or have a drink as the sun sets. The food was plentiful and good. This place is absolutely magic! Just don’t come expecting western mod-cons eg: you’ll need to charge devices while the generator is on between 6-10pm, there are some insects and if you shower too long you’ll run out if hot water - this is an island in remote Uganda! Oh and be warned, there is a steep path and sone steps to most of the accommodation..
