Everything! In a great area off eway, clean, water pressure good and hot, comfy pillows and bed, got my favorite product Dove in the restroom even the lotion! Friendly staff, good breakfast loved the warm cinnamon rolls!

I lived in Jackson, Mississippi, for 18 1/2 years, and I...

I lived in Jackson, Mississippi, for 18 1/2 years, and I still have a house there. Contrary to popular belief and its small size, there is quite a lot to do in Jackson. Couples is a nightclub for 30 and over. Last Call Sports Bar & Grill is the spot for karaoke and clubbing on the weekends. Boston's, I believe, has fish and chicken with fries and sauce on everything, and it is amazing. I could eat it every day. There is a mall; there are things to do, just be safe and vigilant. There is crime everywhere, but Jackson will get you if you're slipping. Plenty of eye candy if you know what I mean. Walmart is where everybody goes to do something, everywhere throughout Mississippi. And TikTok definitely can give you more ideas on things to do in Jackson, Mississippi.

Flowood is a very pleasant shopping area.

Flowood is a very pleasant shopping area. It has a big selection of stores from old navy, tjmaxx and academy to smaller boutiques. Also had a wide selection of eating places. We loved relaxing in the frozen yogurt shop after a long day in the sun .

The handicap chair broke with my husband sitting in it and...

The handicap chair broke with my husband sitting in it and he only has 1 leg so I had to help him to the toilet. The plastic shower curtain isn't long enough so the floor was flooded out to in front of the entry door. I had to go get the mgr who really didn't want to come, but he did. When I showed him what happened he tried to clean it with the soaking wet towels that I had already used and the floor was still flooded. He went & got some kind of dust mop and cleaned a little and in front of the entry door & then he asked me if that was ok. Heck no that wasn't ok. The bathroom floor was still flooded and if me or my husband would have went in there during the night we would have slipped and fell and gotten hurt. Later the toilet wouldn't flush so my husband had to go tell the manager and instead of him coming to look at it he gave him a plunger to take care of it himself. We also had to ask for toilet paper because housekeeping didn't leave any. They also didn't take the garbage out so the room stunk because we left food in the garage from the night before. They don't change the linens for 3 days unless you ask & we didn't know that until we asked.

It’s central for business plenty options from fast food to restaurants steak seafood has outdoor mall the town itself seems to have plenty law enforcement so there’s a level of safety that they provide it’s close to the amphitheater in Brandon minor league baseball stadium next to Bass pro in for concerts there’s Walmart Sam’s Clubs Home

We appreciated having a grocery store nearby.

We appreciated having a grocery store nearby. We didn't need to shop for anything else, but it seemed to all be there if we had needed anything else. We ate out only once at a place where our family took us, but there appeared to be plenty of restaurants nearby. Getting around in the small area where we stayed was very easy. The streets were well marled. We were not travelling with children, so we were not aware of activities for children.

The room had no dispensers with the shampoo, soap and conditioner. They did have some very tiny small portions by the sink. The wallpaper behind the toilet was all rattled up. I will send some pictures

IT IS A REMOTE AREA. I SATISFIED MY CURIOSITY ABOUT THIS CITY AND CONFIRMED WHAT PEOPLE SAY, WHAT THE MEDIA, AND PUBLICATIONS SAY. TO RATE AS A VERY POOR AND ABANDONED CITY, BEING IN THE POOREST STATE OF THE UNION.

I visit Flowood 4 - 6 times a year for business.

I visit Flowood 4 - 6 times a year for business. I love the area in general. Lots of restaurants and shops. The area where the Best Western is located is NOT a good area. I had never stayed at this location before and never will again. Constant police activity at the gas station next door and a lot of drug activity in the area. The next time I come back I will stay closer to the heart of Flowood and not on the outskirts.

The staff helped with a difficult situation, since my original reservation was not transmitted to the hotel. Every person we encountered was very courteous and pleasant. The bed was comfortable and the room was very quiet. We enjoyed the dinner ( surprise! ) - it was basic fare but tasty ( the red jacket mashed potatoes were awesome!) and the breakfast was delicious (creamy, buttery grits!). Overall, a very nice stay, convenient to I-55, clean and comfy!

Take what you need.

Take what you need. Vending machines are high and not much in the way of choice. I was traveling across country with a full car,dogs and things I was moving with, so I didn't really think about anything. They do have coffee pots for sale, but I was there just one night.
