I lived in Jackson, Mississippi, for 18 1/2 years, and I still have a house there. Contrary to popular belief and its small size, there is quite a lot to do in Jackson. Couples is a nightclub for 30 and over. Last Call Sports Bar & Grill is the spot for karaoke and clubbing on the weekends. Boston's, I believe, has fish and chicken with fries and sauce on everything, and it is amazing. I could eat it every day. There is a mall; there are things to do, just be safe and vigilant. There is crime everywhere, but Jackson will get you if you're slipping. Plenty of eye candy if you know what I mean. Walmart is where everybody goes to do something, everywhere throughout Mississippi. And TikTok definitely can give you more ideas on things to do in Jackson, Mississippi.

PLEASE DONT BOOK HILTON INN DOWNTOWN JACKSON. UNPROFESSIONAL FRONT DESK STAFF ON FIRST SHIFT. NO WASH CLOTHES SMELL OF MARIJUANA, POOR HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE AND THEY CHARGED FOR 3 OVER NIGHT VALET WHEN ONLY STAYING TWO NIGHTS ICE NOT WORKING ON 3RD FLOOR ALSO WHEN SHOWING MORE WATER ON THE FLOOR THAN GOING DOWN THE DRAIN THAT I SLIP AND FELL. WHEN I TOLD THE FEMALE AT THE DESK SHE SAID I SHOULD’VE BEEN CAREFUL . TOTALLY DISGRACE OF HILTON HOTEL NAME AND SERVICE.

There is nothing absolutely nothing in Jackson Mississippi...
There is nothing absolutely nothing in Jackson Mississippi to see except for a lot of abandon homes and the side streets are like a disaster zone.. however, the people are friendly but you definitely can expect tension in; people on both sides being racist.

They did not have a reservation for us, but charged my...
They did not have a reservation for us, but charged my credit card for $44.01. The manager was talking to some people who were renting a room on a full time basis.
I tried to give him the confirmation number and he informed me again that he did not have a reservation for us and to leave.
If I had read the reviews on this nasty place, I certainly would not have given it a second look.
I believe I deserve a refund since he would not even talk to me or try to look up the confirmation number.

The hotel room was very large, warm, comfortable, clean and had everything I needed for a nice stay, particularly given I spent so much time there as it rained heavily for most of my 3 day stay! The staff were friendly and attentive. The complimentary breakfast was excellent and had bacon, sausage, eggs, biscuits and a wide variety of cold options. Only a 15 minute walk to the excellent Civil Rights museum too. My first time in Jackson and I loved this hotel. Would definitely return.

One night stay in Jackson. Traffic was a nightmare. Property easy to find. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and bug free. While close to I-55 the noise was not an issue. Lots of restaurant choices (but avoid Hal & Mal's). Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

We only used this as a stop over on our way to Memphis, we had heard Jackson was not a particularly safe town so were thankful to see the carpark was a locked area. It is a travel lodge and as such did the job for 1 night.
