Jackson was a great spot to use as base to explore the area.
Jackson was a great spot to use as base to explore the area. The Grand Tetons are spectacular and a short drive away. We also spent a day in Jackson and attended the Wagon Train bar-b-que just outside of town which was fun. The kids enjoyed the horses and riding in the wagons. Many of the art shops in Jackson are very pricey, but other shops are available for standard tourist items. It is definitely a place you should visit.Guest review byDavidUnited States - 10.0
Close proximity to Yellowstone. The wether was great.
Close proximity to Yellowstone. The wether was great. We liked the picture of the baby moose that was born at the resort that was in the binder about he Hatchet Resort. We saw a moose, elks, 2 wolves, and a mama grizzly bear with her cub on the way back to the Hatchet Resort from Yelllowstone. The resort room was very quiet and comfortable. It was great having a breakfast grill and restaurant plus a grocery store and gas station at the resort. We had a great time!Guest review byKevinUnited States - 6.0

We were there first week in October, so we didn’t get the full experience because lots of the anemnities were not available. Some of the staff were friendly, but mostly our encounters with front office staff, horse riders area were rude. Our food servers were amazing, food was good but ridiculous expensive for what we received. The road construction from the village to Jackson was horrible, took 1.5 hours to go 12 miles. Gorgeous time of year to enjoy the miles of walking trails with beautiful views.Guest review byMistyUnited States - 2.0
The pictures on Booking.com do not reflect the property.
The pictures on Booking.com do not reflect the property. Colter Bay Village had a general store and a good restaurant as promised. However, the cabin for $380.00 was only a room with attached small bathroom. The bathroom had a shower with dirty, moldy caulking in the shower and around the bathroom. The cabin had no refrigerator, no television, no wifi, just bed(s) with a stain on our sheets. The pictures on Booking.com were great and they talked a lot about Colter Bay Village but no where did they mention how RUSTIC and lacking the cabin was. I'm extremely disappointed with the cabin and with Booking.com.Guest review byGaryUnited States - 8.0

The Grand Teton National Park and surrounding area have a lot to offer. This time of year everything is extremely beautiful, green and water flowing. The views are incredible anywhere you drive and I recommend as much hiking as possible.Guest review byDavid - 2.0
The Lodge is in a remote spot at a very high altitude.
The Lodge is in a remote spot at a very high altitude. There is not a town near by and you are isolated. The altitude made me feel ill and we had give up our reservation since we had not booked it directly with the lodge.Guest review byMichelleUnited States - 2.0
The Alpenhof is a terrible old creepy place!
The Alpenhof is a terrible old creepy place! Furnishings looked like something my great great grandparents in the 1800's would have had. Not clean, A/C did not get cold, the front desk clerk at check in was nowhere to be found for ten minutes and the one in the morning was sound asleep under her hoodie when my wife went down to find coffee (which when awakened, she told my wife not until 8 AM). No breakfast, no nothing - just an old, creepy, dirty, uncomfortable room with flies and a spider and about three electrical outlets, all full. Stay away from this dive!Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Enjoyed the cabin, except for hearing people talk loud, slam doors and go to the bathroom in the adjoining cabin. The cabin itself was really nice otherwise. Getting around Colter Bay is easy and wonderful scenery. Next time around, I would not stay in one of the cabins that had an adjoining cabin. I would definitely stay in just a two person cabin only.Guest review byCindyUnited States - 10.0
Staying in Jackson was so much fun!
Staying in Jackson was so much fun! Being only 30/45 minutes from the Grand Tetons was perfect- the Snow King Resort was such a fun place to stay while I was here, and eating at fun resturants such as Bubba's BBQ and getting coffee at Cowboy Coffee Co was delicious! There was a rodeo happening the weekend of May 30th/31st and it was such a blast as well to go see after a long day hiking the Tetons. Highly recommend visiting or driving through!Guest review byMac H.United States - 2.0
Great landscape.
Great landscape. My booking contract (Heart Six Ranch) for three nights was very clear. Check in between 15:00 - 21:00 and no prepayment (pay on arrival). A week before arrival all of a sudden I got an email from them informing me that an additional $50.00 will be charged at check-in between 15:00 and 17:00 (a breach of contract). Next to that, also a week before arrival, I noticed my credit card was charged (WITHOUT MY PERMISSION) with the total amount for the stay. (Another breach of contract). How dare they! Service was lousy as well. I have sent them a few emails before arrival. None of them have been answered. On top of it the service and quality of the food in their restaurant was badly below par. We had to collect our own drinks and our own cutlery. We were not served at all. The meal salad was unkempt on the plates with hardly any topping. Tasteless! When we asked for the bill they were so bold to give it to us including a 20% tip (auto gratuity). What a shame! Unsympathetic greed. Eagerly after my money without delivering quality and service. The rooms are very noisy. No bedside tables on either side of the bed and the bathroom doesn't offer enough space to put your toiletries properly. My advice: AVOID THIS PLACE THERE ARE BETTER WAYS TO SPEND YOUR MONEY.Guest review byPeterNetherlands
