A Summer Retreat Off Cape Cod
The charming island of Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, also known as The Vineyard, is a famous summer colony situated south of Cape Cod on the Atlantic Ocean. Popular with keeping low-profile celebrities, the island is a perfect destination for beach relaxation, fishing trips and hiking the cliffs.
Accessible only by planes and boats, Martha’s Vineyard is a peaceful oasis, where one can truly rest in a no-fuss atmosphere and fantastic summer weather. Other island activities include horseback riding, cycling, golfing and, of course, sailing. You can practice the latter in Martha’s Vineyard’s town of Edgartown, an old whaling port and the location for the filming of Steven Spielberg’s Jaws.
