Great location, lots to visit, has something for everyone.
Great location, lots to visit, has something for everyone. From Dennis the Menace playground fro kids to kayaking for the outdoorsy types to galleries and historical strolls for the culture-hungry. Don't forget to visit Carmel via 17 mile drive. Make a day of it!Guest review byLauraUnited States - 8.0
A beautiful but expensive city.
A beautiful but expensive city. The vibe is wine tasting, jewelry, art, designer clothing and restaurants with a beach nearby. The quality is good everywhere, with some exceptional locations. If you're looking for more than shopping and dining in a quiet, beautiful area, you may want to look elsewhere.Guest review byStephenUnited States - 8.0

We enjoyed this location as it was easy to access Monterey and all the areas we wanted to visit. Rosine's in Monterey is Tops to us! Transiting the area was very easy. No bad traffic. Everything flowed well.Guest review byTirasmomUnited States - 10.0
Marina is a beautiful little town just north of Monterey.
Marina is a beautiful little town just north of Monterey. With CSUMB right there, there are a number of stores and restaurants typical of a college town. Monterey is just a short drive away but Marina is quiet without the hustle and crowds. Daddy's City Diner is a great place to start your day with a hearty breakfast! Stop by Baker's Bacon for some fresh, tasty bacon, sausage and cheese. Take some candied bacon with you for a wonderful snack.Guest review byMelindaUnited States - 10.0
The Steinbeck Center is a must.
The Steinbeck Center is a must. I had breakfast at a local coffee shop on Main street, a few blocks away from the Steinbeck center. I can't remember the name, but the food was good and affordable. The staff was great. Seems like a draw for the locals.Guest review byMargaretUnited States - 8.0
Everything you need for a Roadside Hotel.
Everything you need for a Roadside Hotel. Outside and property was well maintained, clean and landscaped. Room was well appointed and for the most part really clean. I very much appreciate a laminate floor vs. carpet that you know is never clean. Had a a nice sized refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, ice machine. Area has grocery stores and restaurants in the area that you can walk to. (Just avoid the Mexican place across the street, unless you want some stomach upset! Trust me you'll thank me!) Again, was everything you needed and will book again for my Concours stay next year! Thank you!Guest review byKathrynUnited States - 10.0
Don't miss Big Sur! A truly beautiful spot.
Don't miss Big Sur! A truly beautiful spot. A highlight for us was the hike around Lobos Point where the wildlife is abundant and the scenery breathtaking. Eating out was pricey but we stayed at Big Sur campground and cabins where we able to cater for ourselves. During April the roads were reasonably quiet, making the drive along the coast super easy.Guest review byHannahUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Friendly , helpful staff.
Friendly , helpful staff. Exceptionally clean rooms...floors had been wet mopped ( a pet pieve of mine) and all was well maintained. The housekeeping service even stopped to ask if everything was ok.Guest review bySusanUnited States - 10.0
Everything in Carmel Valley is beautiful.
Everything in Carmel Valley is beautiful. It’s not loud which is perfect to be one with nature. We went to Lobos Point which was my favorite part since I like to hike and what better place to and see the beautiful ocean views.Guest review byReyesUnited States - 10.0
The 17-mile drive was beautiful, time it to make sure you...
The 17-mile drive was beautiful, time it to make sure you are not going too late or the fog rolls in and you cannot see much. The aquarium was okay, for the price ($65 pp) I was expecting more. It's great for families with kids and there are more kid friendly areas there than other aquariums I have seen. Don't skip the drive to Big Sur, you can still go into Big Sur and the drive was beautiful and the trees are amazing. Cannery Row is very touristy, however there is a lot a historical information sprinkled throughout and makes for interesting reading.Guest review byMeredithUnited States
